I am interested by the new direction of this game and pleased that it will be SP only

We can only hope that it will turn out good...

Elenarie: Rage was developed by id, not by MachineGames.

ne_zavarj: But it was published by Bethesda .
So?
Fucking up a Wolfenstein game wouldn't look so hot, hope it's good.

IMO, all of them have been good fun, all the way back to the originals by MUSE. Wolf 3D makes a good coffee break kinda game nowadays. 60 mazes is to much to take head on now, plus the additional 90 or so levels in the expansions combined. But in short bursts it's still fun.

RTCW and Wolf 2009 felt like solid "kill shit" shooters, so no complaining here.

Delayed until 2014
So disappointed. :(
Why was it that the first thing that came to mind was, 'Let's see how they ruin this with today's 'mechanics'?'
PC Gamer has a hands-on preview.
I'm really looking forward to this. All the Wolfenstein games I have played so far were very good, except for the first one, which is ... Well, I don't think it has much gameplay value anymore really.

I'd say because of you not being open-minded. Yep, that's most certainly it.

Is this going to be anything like 'Saved by the Bell: The New Class' because that sucked!

3D is too focused on mazes with identical walls to be fun for me anymore.

Sorry. Its just that Bethesda is less than great when it comes to mechanics, but great for story. They'd make good movies and books. Games, not so much. :L

Hmmm, I would say the exact opposite honestly.

The Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3 succeed mostly on exploration, loot discovery and open world gameplay. Most Bethesda dialogue is kind of shit, honestly. The lore can be good sometimes, it depends on the game, but story isn't really their strong suit IMO. Even their successful published games outside the dev studio, like Dishonored for example, seem more gameplay focused to me.

Fallout: New Vegas, by Obsidian, focused more on story and dialogue and was criticized for it by Bethesda's more traditional fans.
