They should focus on a MMO-like experience set in an open ended world... That you get when you mix STALKER (oh, well, other sci-fi universe) with WoW... and skip single player completely.
So, when can I preorder this? Because I love me the shit out of the Wolfenstein series.
ho hum another ww2 shooter. this and high fantasy are possibly the most overused settings in gaming.

This one is supposed to be set in the 60's, hence the Jimi Hendrix music.

The last wolfenstein had problems because it faced a long legacy of the RTCW and ET multiplayer that it had to compete against. When that Wolf MP demo leaked people quickly saw how crappy it was, and the game suffered. Didnt help that the company that made the MP was fired right after the game was shipped.

keeveek: And who on earth would pay 60 bucks for a 8 hour tops FPS game? Apart from SimonG.
Retards

that's who

And there's millions of them who get suckered in every year, there's a new one born every minute

Hell, I wouldn't even mind if it was something exceptionally good like Vanquish, that game was 7 hours and I would gladly pay 100 dollars for it if I could but I'm guessing this isn't the case here

MachineGames seems to have quite some talents, as it was founded by founder of Starbreeze Studios and some key members in development of Reddick and Darkness. I guess id is still very busy developing Doom 4?
Looks like Warren Spector had some pretty strong opinions about it:

It looks like the game will be single-player only.

Arteveld: Well that trailer was kinda all over the place, the music, the mechs.. Can't say it sparkled my interest in any way. Hopefully they'll show something more interesting in the future.
Yeah, my thinking throughout the teaser went like this

Nazis + Robots + ...Vietnam war?

Also I think there was something about "war bacon" in it, the guy wasn't too clear.

grviper: Bethesda and robots.... Remember the time before TES, when they were making those Terminator shooters, where you were a part of a small resistance force and had to walk or drive through ruins infested with deadly machines?
Terminator: Future Shock and SkyNET were fantastic games and probably the best Terminator games anyone could play.

I'm a singleplayer only guy, so my first reaction here is GOOD. It is strange though, considering how popular Enemy Territory was, even on Xbox.

If they were smart they would make a new Enemy Territory free-to-play game.

I'm cool with this, I tend to only play Single player anyway.

Terminator 2029, also from Bethesda back in 1992.

Haven't tried that one but from what I have seen it looks pretty good too.
And remember, folks: single-player games are dead. No, really.
