Hi everybody,
My birthday is coming soon and since I will get little cash boost from relatives I decided its time to change my peripherals (especially since I AGAIN ruined my mouse). While my keyboard functions perfectly, it doesn't feel perfectly, so I am looking for replacement. Any ideas how to get good mouse and good keyboard with 75 bucks budget? (1500 CZK if anyone from my country wants to help me out). It can be either good keyboard and shitty mouse or keyboard/mouse set or good mouse and shitty keyboard, etc. etc. Or just recommend good mouse that fits into that budget and I will try to live with that keyboard little longer :D
Razer DeathAdder

Keep the keyboard that you currently have.
Just out of curiosity, how did you ruin your mouse? (Again?) The only time I have to replace a mouse is when it gets worn out or when I want to upgrade to something better, the latter of which is rare. I may have had a grand total of five (or less?) in the last twenty years or so. I sure don't miss those balls. *shudder*

My latest replacement (two years ago) was my switch to a Razer Deathadder since it had a lot of positive reaction behind it. So far so good. It probably won't fit in that budget though since it is kind of pricey.

It's been a looong time since I've been keyboard-shopping so I can't help you out there. I've been pretty much using only laptops over the last decade or so.

First mouse fiddling with inside of the mouse. Second mouse, furious clicking and then fiddling inside the mouse. But the second mouse is still kinda functional the shell is broken but the electronics are still working...the plastic is bended (on the shell) so badly that clicking is impossible. >.> I will be more careful now...even though fiddling inside stuff is fun :D would be more fun if I wouldn't be so careless Look nice and its affordable (barely but it is! :D)

*Suspicious mode that kavazovangel is working for Razer engaged* Girl's cute butt you say? *Fiddles with non-existing mustache* (sorry xzyem). Interesting...are you sure you don't work for Razer? :D Seems like good selling tactic! :D

Well, if I do, then they don't pay me. :(

I bought the 3500dpi edition of Razer DeathAdder in June, 2011, together with the Goliathus mouse pad, also done by Razer. It really is a great combination.

You can go for this beauty, but I think it is way too expensive right now: http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_IE/pd/productID.231103000/categoryId.35208800

That is indeed a beauty but too expensive. I will soon go to sleep and will see what tips will people post (if any) overnight but Razer DeathAdder is definitely on top of the list. Should I buy the mouse pad or will the one I have from Dataline (got it for free) suffice?

Well, DeathAdder doesn't need a pad much, but you'd be better off if you use one, it will extend the mouse's life a lot. If your current pad is soft, I'd say, you'd be okay. But if it is a hard pad, it could damage the bottom of the mouse faster.

Any half-decent mouse pad should do. My cheapie from a nearby office supply store works just fine for me. I never got the point of the super-high-fidelity surface crud that is supposed to be better. Unless you want to become the next uber-gamer that kind of thing is a waste of money.

Okay I will think about getting, a pad, going to sleep now and I will hopefully decide tomorrow about the mouse :) (so far, since there has been no other tips Razer DeathAdder is winner)

You don't have to buy one if your current one is soft, meaning you can bend it, twist it, torture it, and in the end it would still regain its form. If it is a hard one, and you can't do that, I'd suggest you get a soft pad (doesn't have to be something expensive, but it will keep the mouse more 'healthy').
This was some of the best advice I ever got (well, the left handed version of the Death Adder for me....)
The other option is also a Razer, Naga. I own Deathadders only, but the Naga would be better for MMOs.

I still think the MercStealth keyboard is about as good as you're going to get for under 100 USD and it's pretty damned nice. It's definitely worth a look.

I agree with this :). Deathadder rocks! I wasn't used to the mouse at first (not sure why. It probably had to do with the sucky ass mouse I had before the deathadder). It didn't take long to get used to it though and it is a blast and is still working even after a year or two.

On a slightly unrelated note, a while back I wanted to go completely wireless (ooh fancy) including the keyboard. Why hasn't anyone made a wireless gaming keyboard?
