Omerta is a rule or code that prohibits speaking or divulging information about the activities of a criminal organization. However, since you--GOG gamers--are practically members of <i>the family</i>, our friends from Kalypso have decided to disclose some of the information about the upcoming gangster-sim set in 1920s Atlantic City. Mind you, they cannot reveal everything and their time is limited, but if you are wondering what the heck [url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/omerta_city_of_gangsters]Omerta - City of Gangsters is all about, or want to know more about the secrets of Kalypso Media Digital, just shoot (ha ha ha).

We will select the ten best answers from the comments below and send them to the developers of Omerta - City of Gangsters. In addition to that, one of the commenters below (selected randomly) will receive a free copy of Omerta.
When DLCs are released, will we be able to buy them here on GoG?
What kind of bootleging methods are available to move contrabands in game.

Why place game to America.

There were prophition laws in 20's in many countries

Here in finland when we got own prohibition era in 1919-1932 and own heroes and foes.
Can I blow everything up and kill all the cops? Can I kill civilians and annihilate everything in my path? Can I chop off heads, and put them on pikes around my gangland base? Can I get drunk and kill my own lieutenants like the Godfather?

I wanna feel like the baddest gangsta around, I want to outdo Capone. Do I get to feel like this, or am I forced to be a goody two shoe gangster like those back in the 1920's that thought they were big shots.
How much of an open world game is this? From the gameplay videos posted on Qt3, it seems like most of the missions are fairly scripted and linear. Will we be able to freeplay without following instructions?

Where can you hide the corpses?

Can you make cement shoes?

On a side note it's prob point less for me to try to win this seeing as I have it on pre order (from GoG) but I can try can't I.
Was King Henry VII a gangster?
What existing games, if any, could the gameplay of Omerta realistically be compared to? Tropico? Constructor? The Guild? Patrician? Something completely different?
One of most anticipated game of this quarter. Great job.
About difficulty settings. Do we have a wide choise or just casual/normal game play?
I allways wanted to be challanged by a game.
Do we get some kind of a pre-order bonus if we place our order before it's release? Do we start out as some low level street enforcer and work our way up or are we a mafia Don?
Does the game offer only 15+ hours of fun in single game-play? Well, I do not want game that that will suck me in for 100+ hours, but 15 is not much for that price tag... Of course sometimes quality is much more important than quantity. Anyway, I'm not winging, there aren't many good TBS games out there, so I'm pre-ordering the game right now anyway. Thanks for selling this game on gog.com!!
Is all trade contained within the one city, or can you export/import from other cities?

What's the diplomacy like? Can you have trade agreements with other gangs/familes? What about political alliances?
Is your game related to the web-based game which were also called Omerta? I believe it was text-based?
Is it possible to organise unscripted tactical raids (ie. Turn Based combat mode) on particular locations of your own choice through out the game?

For instance, in Expeditions: Conquistador, which has some superficial similarity to Omerta in how the game operates, you can arrange tactical factors before the combat begins, eg. positioning, traps, etc. Is there anything similar in Omerta or is the entire game linearly scripted?
Here is the demo guys: http://www.strategyinformer.com/pc/demos/omertacityofgangsters/demo.html
