mondo84: Hopefully Arx Fatalis doesn't leave GOG anytime soon. Too bad that Zenimax doesn't want to keep that and the Fallouts on GOG. :/
Makes me shake my head in amazement. The games are selling well, I can't imagine it would be hard to just transfer any profit made to ZeniMax, but Z is like, "What?! You're not Steam. Get outta my face."

Ugh.

PaterAlf: It was on sale in june 2012. Bought it for $2.39 back then.
Same here, although I can't remember buying it at all, this thread made me look it up in the GOG catalogue and then I saw I owned it already. Guess I should be thankful for getting this one while the going was good.

That link shows that the game went for $2 two years ago on Steam, and $3 exactly 365 days ago on GOG.

How likely is it that GOG might drop the game?

Snickersnack: Now everyone is understandably pissy with the removal of the Fallout series but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that Bethesda/ Zenimax do cool stuff too. The Arx Fatalis source release in January 2011 was epic.
Who's removing Fallout from where?

Interplay has lost the rights to the early Fallout series. Presumably they are having it removed from any distributor that has not negotiated a new agreement with the new owner (Bethesda/ Zenimax). GOG appears to be losing the Fallout series, at least for the time being.

I haven't been following it too closely but I think they go *POOF* at the end of the month. If you want them here, better get them quick! :D

Elmofongo: BUMP

Just want complete confirmation, is this game really leaving GOG?
Some say yeah, none say no. No one seems to know... even less than about the situation with the FO's
Didn't GOG assure users they would give more advance notice when games are anticipated to be leaving the storefront? I take their silence as affirmation Ark Fatalis isn't going anywhere yet.

They hadnt exactly come out and said the FO trilogy was definitely going though (even if the free giveaway seemed to be a big hint) ?

I interpreted GOG's comments in the Fallout freebie announcement thread to be definitive the Fallout games are disappearing from GOG Storefront when they said:

"Please note that all three classic Fallout titles are pending right holder change. Sadly, to the best of our knowledge, we'll be forced to remove Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics from our offer. " http://www.gog.com/forum/general/free_games_fallout_fallout_2_and_fallout_tactics

Oh i missed that :). My bad,
The GOG letter to santa also has a line about the Fallout games being removed from the offer.

I don't remember them giving an advance notice when Mobile Forces was removed.

Probably got short notice and didnt have a chance to put the game on sale...

Probably, but there is no guarantee they won't receive a short notice on Arx Fatalis too. For all we know, Arkane and Zenimax might keep their mouths shut till the last moment.
