Hey all,
Might have missed a few sales in the past (i visit regularly do i doubt it..), but why is Ark Fatalis not on sale now (i cant it ever recall it being on sale at all?) ?. Someone mentioned this and i just realised it myself....

Well, not all of the games are on sale anyway.

But I've seen Ark Fatalis on sale before, over the summer. There's a lot of games to go through if you want to cycle sales on all of them.

Most likely because the publisher (Arkane Studios) won't agree to put it on sale. Arx Fatalis seems to be their only game on GOG, so that would explain its special status. I'm pretty sure it has been discounted before, but not very often.

In all the five years, I think the lowest it's been is $4.99.
I noticed a lot of 4.99 games are actually 5.99 on gog, did gog raise prices before?!

GOG has never had a $4.99 price point. From the site's launch until last year every game was either $5.99 or $9.99.

Because it's a steal at $5.99 already. Awesome game, regardless of its (minor) flaws.

They did have that pricing experiment this year though, where some games were cheaper than the regular $9.99 and $5.99 for a while.

I read somewhere Bethesda is just honoring the deal Arkane had set up and won't renew it. So they're probably not discussing sales and whatnot.

That does suck but ummm... maybe Arx Fatalis will go free just before it departs. [Unlikely if it's already with a new rights holder, but I can dream...]

For an all time lowest price of Arx Fatalis on GOG, there was at one point a 30% discount in 2010. http://www.gog.com/forum/general/selected_rpg_titles_30_off

By the way, the game is called Arx Fatalis, not Ark Fatalis, so maybe that's why you couldn't find the subforum.
