KneeTheCap: I don't think Ser Larry classifies even as a mature rated game...

dragonsreach: Have you ever played one? LSL is in fact Rated M (Mature) and most come with a 16+ or 18+ rating. The older LSL's, you know, like LSL1, 2, etc... were extremely raunchy for their day and age. (NO COMMENTS ON AGE ALLOWED)
They're still very, very mild. And yes, I have played them as I own all of the Larry games. Well, not all as I still lack the Box Office Bust, but I heard that I'm not missing much.

reaver894: I dont think GOG would be allowed to sell AO games due to regional laws and all that jazz,

It wont ever happen IMO so not worth thinking about further
If there were no legal obstacles, would you buy the games if they were made available?

tinyE: Forgive my ignorance but I'm having a rough time with this one. Can anyone give me some examples? I myself draw the line when it comes to snuff films which I've never heard of a game going that far so it's a moot point.
OK, lets review that statement. Snuff film, a film in which someone is killed. From previous comments we are talking about AO games so that includes porn and/or violence to some degree.
1. EVERY friggin game that requires you to shoot/stab or otherwise KILL someone is a Snuff game.
2. As for an example, try the AO expanded version of Metal & Lace: Battle of the Robo Babes.
3. You can find all kinds of MODS out there for other games to bring them up to AO standards, like, say, Better Bodies and such for TES3:Morrowind.
I'm not sure what your definition but The Witcher series, LSL series and Phantasmagoria series are all rated for mature audience/18+. So GOG already selling AO games.

I wouldn't mind buying them as long as they are good games, although I suspect most of them the mature themes are there to cover a poor game.
They have some of the more notable AO games already. The big one they're missing (and this is the ONLY reason I would support Take-Two on GOG) is Manhunt 2 Uncut.

Personally... No
Quality stuff is always welcome, be it gore, hentai, whatever you can imagine.
I know there are hentai games with really good story, so why not? If it's good, then yeah, I'd go for it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AO-rated_products

The list of AO rated games is fairly sparse, and most of them appear to be porn, more or less. GOG already has some of the notable ones, and I'm fairly sure the AO version of GTA:SA doesn't exist anymore.

Ah yes, and the wonderful questions to prove your age. Very easy to answer for adult male AMERICANS!

No Snuff is when someone is actually killed; I'd mention "Faces of Death" but that's not a good example because those movies are notoriously faked. A real life video of someone getting offed is snuff. To that extent the nightly news is loaded with it.

To clarify further, Better Bodies replaces body models and textures. You have the option when installing to allow have everyone where underwear or not.

I would not buy AO games on GOG, and would stop recommending it to my friends if GOG started pushing AO games.

Honestly, I don't think GOG can sell AO games - no DRM means no age verification.

Now were just pinching pennies. Actually was implied. It appears to me you already know the answer to your original statement/question since unless someone starts filming live people and putting that film into a game you are never going to see a true snuff game. The Japanese will probably get closest, first. They have had sit-down video games in their arcades where you play paper/rock/scissors and your opponent is the game. They recorded real video footage of pretty girls who strip down do nothing if you beat them enough rounds in a row. This was back in the early 90's so no telling how far along that has come. (insert in-appropriate joke here)
I don't think it's a very good idea to release AO games on GOG. Such material tends to have a very ill reputation. It took a long time for GOG to build up the respect they now enjoy in the gaming community; releasing AO games would undo all that effort extremely quickly.

It doesn't really matter, though, since GOG probably wouldn't want to/be able to release most AO games anyway. I seriously doubt many of them would pass their QA standards and they would probably need some way to prevent minors from accessing the AO content.
Nope would not buy them either. Dont think they would come to GoG anyway but if they do then i certainly would not buy them

Why?
But GOG already sells AO rated games. They're selling Fahrenheit and the uncensored version of Magna Cum Laude.
