EDIT: The deadline for entering this giveaway is over. Sorry if you're just now seeing this thread.

Retiring the account, not from work, though that might be nice. So may as well go out with a giveaway. Here's how this one will work:

To enter, just say "I'm in" and put down the name of the game here on GOG you'd like to be gifted if you're chosen. Include a brief reason why you'd like to play it but haven't gotten it yet (one sentence is fine; more is fine too if you prefer). You can pick a game bundle if it's all one purchase, like for example the Quest for Glory, Might and Magic, or Castles bundles. Also, if the weekend special ends up being good this weekend you're welcome to choose games from that (you'll be allowed to edit your post - I won't close the giveaway until the special has been announced and everyone's had a bit of time to change their request if they want)

If, below that in your post, you would like to, also say "Also in for" and name a GOG forum member who you think is deserving of a game, and why. You can only be "also in" for one other person.

I'll take the top three or five (depending on how many votes are cast for others and how much I can spend on this) people nominated and they'll get their requested game automatically. Those winners will not subtract from the number of games for the general giveaway, so they're just sort of bonuses for the people who've done the most to make this forum a great place.

Giveaway will run for a few days, probably until Friday night or Saturday. Good luck.

Thanks for the GA +1

I'm in for Braveland. I love King's Bounty and hear that this game is very similar so would love to play it. I've not got it yet as no job and no benefits means not a lot of money to spend right now. Still, I count my blessings as life could be worse!

Also in for tinyE who always makes me laugh and brightens up many a dull day :)
Retiring? Well, at least is good to see you're not on Afghanistan anymore...

I'll edit for an entry later... maybe, perhaps..

Okay. I have decided. I will not enter for me or for anybody else, because I just can't choose. And I would feel dirty singling out a person... I'm sorry.
I appreciate all that they do, and here's hoping they already know that.

Thank you so much AGB, and I hope you stay with us.
Or whatever your decision, have a good life. You deserve it.

I hope you're just retiring one of your accounts, and not permanently letting go of gog!

I'm in, and if I win, I'd like Thief 2.
I've played 3 first, and had fun, but can understand what people said about it being restrictive. I got 1 in the recent giveaway, and played it for a bit, but there is only so far mods can go. I've heard 2 was the sweet spot, the best of both worlds, and the peak of the series.

I'd like to be in for ET3D if possible, for being the awesome community member s/he is, probably the reason I stuck around here.
Have a happy retirement and thanks for the giveaway!(and past ones)
I'm in for for Redline because I like shooting stuff and driving games. This is one that looks cool that I had never heard of before it was released on GOG.

I'll edit later after I think about who I'm also in for.
Happy retirement :)

I'm in for Tesla Effect, just because I love graphic adventures and I hope this one will be good. Too many new point and click are not so good (BS5, Broken Age for example).

I'm in for the pink hippo too, he gifted so much here, he deserve it.

Bummer giftbot I was all set to come in here and wish you congratulations and the best of luck! ;) Not in, but thanks for the giveaway!
I'm in for Tex Murphy: Overseer . I have heard nothing but good things about the series yet I have never played them. I did pre-order the Tesla Effect but I like to play all the games in order. Thank you

I hope you enjoy retirement. Sitting in a rocking chair on the deck with a cold one in your hand. You earned it :)

Also in for.........

this is tough. There are so many people that contribute in so many different ways that it's damn near impossible to pick just one. Momo1991, Dischord, genkicolleen, tinyE, cmdr_flashheart, Stooner, IAmSinistar, foxworks, xckx, akhliber, Thespian*, wpegg, triock, Licurg, benderz, KneeTheCap, OldFatGuy and Schnuff are just a handful of people off of the top of my head that are deserving but there are so many more!!!

So I've decided on being in for a group entry. Sachys and The Sigil. Don't be afraid of the flying poo Sachys is a good guy and I'm sure there are some great community members in the mysterious group known as The Sigil.

Thanks

I'm in, thanks :)

The Quest for Glory bundle is a good idea. I played the first two when they originally came out but never got farther in the series for whatever reason and I'd like to play through the whole thing from the start. I've nearly bought it a few times but there was always something else that caught my mood just a bit more at the time.
Oh dear, not another one:(
But nice giveaway

Didn't want to pick a too much of a high priced game but since others are picking Tesla Effect and bundles, i am picking Tesla Effect too.
Why? because the Tex Murphy games are a good serie of games and we had to wait over 15 years or so on the sequel, which finally arrived today.
And i already tried the demo, and can't wait to play the full game.

I'd rather keep a good member here than receive any free games.

But if you insist, sure I'm in.

Omikron: The Nomad Soul - I somehow missed the last sale, and I've been waiting to play this since 1999 back when I saw it on the shelf at OnCue, unfortunately I didn't have the money to buy it, and when I went back with the cash, it was gone, and I have never seen a physical copy since.
Thanks and +1

I would love to enter for Soulbringer.

http://www.gog.com/game/soulbringer

I could never get it here at release (no amazon back then), I did come across it bundled with another game I already had, so it was too expensive just for the one game I wanted, gog has given me the opportunity to give this game a shot.

Hope you get a chance to return to gog :)

Sorry to hear that, I remember that I've also received a game from you :)
Anyway I'll be in for something after the specials are revealed.
Also in for <placeholder>
Thank you!
I'm in!

I've read that the Tower of Guns game is pretty cool! Right now I've been waiting for the price to go down.

Good luck everyone!
