There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!
I managed to snag Alan Wake. I gave up waiting for it at 23:15, and went to bed. I happened to wake up for some reason at 04:20, checked my tablet, and there it was.. I clicked on it and went to sleep. I have no idea how much time was left, or where it was in the rotation. I barely remember doing it, but I had an email confirming the purchase, so it really did happen.

Thanks for the giveaways GOG!
The 'owned' tags haven't returned yet. I wonder if the staffers are expecting a lot of traffic...

My "owned" tags are showing...perhaps they are rolling it out slowly?

j0ekerr: I had a good look at the trailer, and had to close it halfway because of BEAUTIFUL ENVIRONMENT OVERLOAD!

I was drooling over my keyboard.

skeletonbow: Indeed, I don't even care for platformer games at all nowadays but Trine looked so artistically beautiful and alive that I couldn't pass it up just for the graphic art amazingness.
Quite so old chap. Now I have the dilemma of a trembling wallet and a game that is not 2 or 3 bucks but 12... but which; I DESPERATELY WANT!

Also I think I'll let FTL pass. Nor have I grabbed the bullfrog bundle despite wanting dungeon keeper, but I really don't care that much for Magic Carpet or Populous. I remember playing the first one on the megadrive and being unimpressed.

Although I was like 11 back then.

Aha... well that online alarmclock website I posted works great... but it turns out that Alan Wake hyperjumped from his slumber and only gave a half hour to get it instead of the usual timer and I slept through it. What an unfortunate website glitch. :) No biggie though as I own the game so it would have ended up just being an extra game code to give away in the forums to someone less fortunate anyway, and I'm sure others have gathered some copies up. Would be kind of neat if he made a second appearance due to the glitch for folks but we had a good share of chocolately freebieness yesterday anyways. :)

Kudos to the evasive Mr. Wake for sneaking away! :oP
Does anybody know if Call to Power 2 is on this sale?

It was a subtle comment by GOG, reminding people that they should have stayed A. Wake ... ;)

I'll take my coat now. ;)
Is it just me, or did Space Colony jump from out of nowhere to the top?

Vythonaut: Did they told us for how much time, the flash-giveways, would have been active? I don't think so - the only thing they told us, was to keep an eye for them.. They gave 5 games for free, all other games are with massive discounts all these days and that's the 'thank you' they got?
Well, actually, they did tell us...

"24-hour ADRENALINE RUSH! ... For the next three hours (that is until 3:59PM GMT) you can grab a free copy of the gangster strategy title, Omerta: City of Gangsters. You can find it among the stream of other flash sales! That's only the first of the giveaways we have planned for today, so make sure to keep an eye out for more throughout the Adrenaline Rush day.
So while the summer sale isn't over yet, so far they've said nothing about there being any more giveaways after these 24 hours... although I wouldn't entirely discount that possibility, either.

Ouch.

Well done, sir. :)

Nope...not just you....it's going crazy out there.....keeping people on their toes!!
Now we still have the puzzling aspect of what will happen with Banished and Outlast DLC which haven't showed up yet. Future freebies or future shorter term special flash discounts? It's anyone's guess now. First time we're operating purely in the dark! Anyone scared? :)

Ceht: I[...]

If it had been up as a normal freebie, there wouldn't be a complaint to give. But in about 35 minutes, it came and went when everyone was watching in accordance to the timing that had been going on up to that point. So, complaints are happening because some are upset.

I'll admit, I was a tweaked, and possibly jumped the gun. If something went wrong (as some suggested), and no one on the staff caught it, then my apologies to GOG and the forum goers for my hasty comments... though another shot at AW:AN because of the glitch would be nice. If it was a tease, followed by a GOTCHA! trick, then it was a cheap move on GOG's part. The question is, which was it?
There never was such a thing as a "normal" freebie. All GOG told us is that there would be 4 secret flash giveaways and to keep an eye out for them - they never committed to the giveaways happening in certain, steady intervals, nor that they'd be up for grabs for a predefined time span.
The fact that we the users speculated on patterns and drew some flawed statistics without having any concrete data to base them on, and that we the users relied on them is exclusively on us and GOG can't and shouldn't be blamed.

Not to mention that GOG doesn't owe us any freebies in the first place, they were (are) a nice gesture, but mostly a marketing tool to draw new users in.

Many of the bottom coming soon games hopped up to the top just now. Not entirely sure what's going on with that.
