The biggest celebration of DRM-Free gaming this season is right now, right here on GOG.com! It's warm and nice outside, the summer draws ever closer, so let's make sure it's full of fantastic games. There's no one good way to spend your summer, but we know well that gaming can make every single one of them better. So, whether you plan to stay inside, hike into the wilderness, or take a boat into the calm sea, we'll make sure your laptop is filled with great DRM-Free games you can enjoy anytime, anywhere. To that end, we're holding our [url=http://www.gog.com]2014 DRM-Free Summer Sale!

Each day we'll present you with at least two special Bundle Deals with a selection of of great classics and indies available up to 90% off! As usual, you'll be able to buy just selected titles out of the bundle with a slightly lower discount, or complete your collection with just the ones you're missing, retaining the higher discount rate. Let's take a look at our offers for today, shall we?

Today, we seriously mix things up to bring you both lighthearted comedy as well as dark and morbid horror. The Legacy of Kain Saga is the Full House of gaming with its family themes and colorful presentation. Across four episodes ironically titled Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance the series explores the relation between Kain, a authoritative father with obvious god complex, and Raziel, his rebellious son with questionable fashion sense. The story also includes many of their relatives from extended family, that cannot help but to make a mess in their imaginary homeland called Nosgoth. Hilarity ensues! All this cheerful moments for only $5.96 (that's 75% off!). The other of our offers today, is bound to chill the blood in your veins with its terrifying setting alone. The Deponia Complete Trilogy takes place on a distant planet. A planet, that long ago must have been not so different from our own Earth. Yet now, it is a grim and dark place that suffered a tragic environmental disaster. The surface of the planet is now completely covered with waste. Toxic rain flushes the pollution deep into the ground, poisoning it and making the land barren. Way above, there's the remaining enclave of civilization, housing the remnant of the human race. Now imagine one of them, a defenseless girl, falls down to the toxic junkyard below. Even though she doesn't die instantly poisoned with every imaginable toxin, her future looks grim. The wasteland is filled with danger, and soon she'll find out that she is not alone among the towering piles of garbage. What strange mutated monsters could have survived in such conditions? And what do they eat? The horror! All the thrills for just $11.97 (that's 80% off!). There you have it, a mix of laughter and cries of despair to fill your weekend with gripping gaming. Or did we overdo the mixing?

On top of that, almost all of our catalog has been discounted by up to 50%. On top of that, our front page is overflowing with excellent Flash Sales on single games. You can grab them up to 90% as well, but don't take to long, as they come and go pretty fast! Why don't you head out to GOG.com front page, and see what's happening right NOW!

Ceht: Count me as one of them. I checked, saw that it it was still in the "coming soon" section, came back a little over a half hour later, and everyone's saying thanks and yay they just got in at the end.

That was a cheap move, GOG. Damn cheap, especially after delaying it for so long.

There's bound to be several people who already have the game and got a gift code for it.
(do make sure to read the thread rules first, though)
I saw that thread yesterday. Looks like it's my only real shot at getting AW:AN, but with Torchlight as my only trading gift, I don't have high hopes. Still, thanks for the reminder.

Enebias: Besides, when it comes to gifted games, nobody should complain. It's not like somebody has an objective right to take a copy.
If it had been up as a normal freebie, there wouldn't be a complaint to give. But in about 35 minutes, it came and went when everyone was watching in accordance to the timing that had been going on up to that point. So, complaints are happening because some are upset.

I'll admit, I was a tweaked, and possibly jumped the gun. If something went wrong (as some suggested), and no one on the staff caught it, then my apologies to GOG and the forum goers for my hasty comments... though another shot at AW:AN because of the glitch would be nice. If it was a tease, followed by a GOTCHA! trick, then it was a cheap move on GOG's part. The question is, which was it?
And now Postal jumped up to the third row, weird.
Hmm, something goes wrong with sale? I mean - Shadow Man was on "coming soon" hour ago and still is.

RPGOracle: Apart from the fact that the gog frontpage clearly states "4 SECRET FLASH-GIVEAWAYS"... which have passed now (Omerta, Still Life 2, Torchlight, and Alan Wake's American Nightmare). And why would gog not count Omerta as secret?
avatar
Gmr_Leon: Why would it not count Omerta as a secret? Because it was announced in the adrenaline rush post (this thread's OP). That's the thinking I've been reading, and while I don't entirely expect it to hold up, I'm keeping an eye on this a bit longer just in case.
I like this line of thought (don't really believe it but...:) ) So Banished my be another "secret" secret and show up for a few minutes soon..... we all have to dream.. :)
I witness people making bitter comments about a game (freebie) ...

the least you could do is be grateful for to be here, means you have a pc and internet connection

there are people (and kids) in this world who does not have to feed themselves and die of starvation....
I totally missed Alan Wake because I couldnt logon the website while on smartphone. Oh well XD
high rated
GOG you are killin' it on this summer sale!!

I've watched and bought more from GOG than Steam (haven't purchased anything from Steam during this sale). I honestly wish I would have known about GOG earlier than I did. I would have bought everything from GOG that I have bought on Steam that I could have. Seriously impressed with you guys. Can't wait for Galaxy!

Keep up the great work guys.

Just ask. I found some nice folk who just gave me without wanting something for it.
I guess I missed American Nightmare overnight... I already had it, but another gift code would have been useful.

Did Banished come up? That's one I've been really wanting for a while, but waiting for a price drop.
Had to leave before the last freebie, but at least wasn't a great loss to me because I already have the game in Steam. I guess Banished will be available in some competition giveaway then...

No, what they're going to do with Banished is still a mystery...

I did exactly that when I was in the middle of typing the post you quoted :D

j0ekerr: I had a good look at the trailer, and had to close it halfway because of BEAUTIFUL ENVIRONMENT OVERLOAD!

I was drooling over my keyboard.
Indeed, I don't even care for platformer games at all nowadays but Trine looked so artistically beautiful and alive that I couldn't pass it up just for the graphic art amazingness.

Exactly!

That's only the first of the giveaways we have planned for today, so make sure to keep an eye out for more throughout the Adrenaline Rush day.

Did they told us for how much time, the flash-giveways, would have been active? I don't think so - the only thing they told us, was to keep an eye for them.. They gave 5 games for free, all other games are with massive discounts all these days and that's the 'thank you' they got?
