Just noticed that Worlds of Magic will be relaunched Q1 2016 cause of its very buggy and unfinished release. Though its possible that current version 1.2.5 will be approved by gog for release since it was submited to gog for scrutiny. Thanks for the update :-)

Have been wondering when this game is going to hit GOG, has been in the upcoming tab for ages. With all the modern 4X games locked behind Steam, this would be a great alternative.

Thanks for the update, Matruchus. =) I've been wondering whatever happened to this game.

The game is no longer to be found in the "upcoming-list". I mean, removing it might be better than listing it for half a year and label it as "soon" ;)

But what is happening now? Will it eventually hit GOG, got it removed to never come back or are we all waiting for the hopefully better relaunch version?

Someone asked in the WoM forum as well, but received no concrete informations.

No official answer thus far. Hopefully, it should see its release here with the "Relaunch" version.

i just realized, that a retail-version of the game will be published soon (19.02).
May i hope that it will be drm-free or at least the game will be launched on GoG?

There were talks about releasing the DRM-Free build of the game along with its relaunch version, which would occur alongside the console versions. I haven't heard any news from the developers themselves, either from their Steam page, Kickstarter page or their official website, so I'm not sure how final is the release date.

I know it's generally considered very poor form to share backer updates, but since Wastelands has been so very quiet for months, I thought I'd paste the good news that dropped in my inbox a few hours ago.

We are going to release the Planar Conquest on iOS at February 4th. This will be slightly changed to Worlds of Magic. I could say WoM 1.5, but most probably will be different franchise. Yes, you got similar gameplay, a lot of the same content but is adjusted to mobile devices, which doesn't meant dumbed down. Anyway if you liked the Worlds of Magic, you should like Planar Conquest.

After the release we are going to focus on the PC version. I’m not able to tell when exactly the game will be released, but I assume it should be in the Q2 at the moment when XBONE and PS4 versions will be released. We are planning to focus on fixing all the issues that are causing the problems for some of the players, taking under consideration the feedback we will gather from Planar Conquest, as some of the rules has changed here and there.

So the short version is, look for Worlds of Magic to show up, rebranded as Planar Conquest. Given how many poor reviews WoM got on Steam, that might be a good idea, to get a new name and id code.

Keep the hope going ^_^

EDIT 2: just want to reiterate that while Feb 4th is a solid release date for iOS, there still is no release date for the PC version. Since someone will read that and start quoting a release date, I just know it XD

Fantastic news! I've found one (ONE!!!!!!!) worthy 4X game for Android. Android needs MOAR 4X games!
The PC version is kinda meh for me.

Hmm 4x for android ... check also Birth of the Empires, a very good game in the vein of birth of the federation if you played it back in the day - ported from pc by Blotunga, a game done by fans for fans. It's a very good 4x!

Yeah I've seen that. Dunno why but that game doesn't really interest me. Though during my summer vacation when I don't have access to a computer for weeks I plan to test it. :)
