Banned for giving me a reason to pitch a DC film franchise. The Superman Trilogy ends with Doomsday taking a defeated Superman to Apokolips. Then we have a Lantern Corps trilogy and modify the lore to incorporate Greek myth and the colors also have elemental powers. A guardian spirit acts as middle-management for the colored Lanterns on any given planet; on Earth, that's Gaia. The third movie has hints that she has arranged for a powerful ally to escape their own turmoil to help fight ours. The Lanterns work out that nothing less than combining their powers will be enough in the fight of their lives. So they do it, and the same actor who played Superman emerges from Apokolips through a portal with a new costume and announces, "With your powers combined, I am Captain Planet!"
