Mr.Mumbles: Completed Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy. Not the best action adventure game I've ever played, but it was fun during its 13 hour or so run.

I also started on West of Loathing. It has its charms, but somehow I don't think it's quite as funny as some make it out to be. *shrug* Still, it's an enjoyable way to pass the time. ;)
That was originally the PS2 game, right? I need to check that one out as well.
Doing my second playthrough of Mass Effect 1 currently (although I've gotten quite far multiple times). Kinda enjoying it but I'm also less tolerant of some of its shortcomings now than I was back then. I really hate the amount of low-quality filler content and how the game discourages you from making diverse choices or mixing up your team, at least if you're a bit of a power gamer like me. It's also gotten a lot easier now that I've started using the more interesting abilities a lot. During my first playthrough I almost exclusively used Shepard's own abilities and since he was a soldier they were pretty boring. Can't wait to finally move on to Mass Effect 2 (which I've owned since release but never got around to playing) but I'm considering to do another playthrough first, either to hit level 60 with my soldier or just try a more interesting class. Well, we'll see.

hurvl:
I intend to play a gun-using character in Bloodlines as well (am playing as a Toreador, whose Auspex is quite useful for that if I understand correctly)...but so far haven't used any guns in the Santa Monica part of the game. I did put two points in "unarmed" (because it's useful for feeding), that was enough for the combat in the early part of the game. Have one point in guns from a book I bought, will increase that later on.
I once tried Dragon Age: Origins for a few hours and didn't like it at all due to the combat which seemed confusing to me...I hate it when I can't control all members of my party like I want to...I want total control (like in Baldur's Gate or a tactical dungeon crawler like Dungeon rats), having to rely on scripts sucks. Also didn't find the setting and story interesting. Maybe I will try it again eventually, but my first impression wasn' favorable (also its length is intimidating).

RangerSolo: You can't really make your own character like a normal RPG. You start out as the main character of the story and as you travel around meet new characters to join you. You have a skill tree for all characters and can choose which path to level up in first. The kicker is some of the skills require a lot of points to get them. The one thing I don't like is not being able to switch weapons in battle. Sometimes I forget to swap before going to places and some weapons just don't have the skill bonus on attacking that I need. Other than that certain costumes are fun to look at when they are wearing. Won't spoil the fun here. But once you see and what some of the anime is capable of doing, you'll get it.

dtgreene: Does the game at least let you play as a female character, or is that not an option?

(It sounds like, from your description, that they followed DQ8 rather than DQ7, and made it worse by getting rid of the option to switch weapons during battle.)
The lead story is on a male character so you cannot play as a female. Maybe in the future a female lead character may happen but I wouldn't hold my breath. Like all the DQ stories. The main role is male. I think only the online DQ allows you to choose your gender to play.

DQ3, DQ4, and DQ9 all let you play as female characters, and none of them are online. (DQ9 has some online features, but no actual online play, and DQ3 and DQ4 don't have any online features whatsoever.)

DQ X is the online version I was referring to. Should had stated that. It's been a long time since I played the earlier versions so my mind is fuzzy if the option to play male or female was available DQ 3. 4 and 9
Still hacking away at the monster that is No Man's Sky.
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight.
Bloodrayne Betrayal.
Rabi Ribi.(cute girls in a bullet hell that's not Touhou or Deathsmiles)
Assassin's Creed Black Flag.
And my recent purchases.
Back at Volgarr. The rust is real though.
Still fighting MDK - if you didn't try it, just do it. The game is awesome. I love the level design. I can't even imagine how impressive it was back then (unfortunately in my case it was just impossible to run the game on hardware I had owned).

Also driving Euro Truck Simulator 2 and I'm starting to understand why people love the game so much. When you turn your favorite radio and take a 1000km job there is nothing more relaxing than that. I've bought the game from Steam funds from some spare trading cards and it was great deal, indeed.
I drive trucks for real, so entertaining the idea of playing a virtual version of the job I already do in real life seems strange to me, but I'd probably still suck at it at first. I wonder what the best control scheme for the game is. A good 1080 steering wheel and some foot pedals?

Yeah, that's why I don't play Postal.

Is Postal a realistic representation of what you do? >.>

Kipper: StarCraft Remastered
That's out?

I heard it had some pretty nasty DRM.
