I'm not just liking Brogue, I'm beginning to fall in love with it. Made it down to Level 11 for the first time yesterday. Approached a captured ogre I wanted to add as an ally, but got a bit careless and too close to the other ogres holding him there without preparing myself properly beforehand. Pulled one of them and a toad that wandered around in the same area, got clubbed to death while being high (once again) on toad slime.
Trine

I've already finished it, but decided to do some achievement hunting since there aren't many (only 33) and all are doable. Just got the last achievement a few minutes ago. Seems like there is an extra level of sorts too : path to a new dawn.
Way difficult and I'm hoping it unlocks some extra content if you manage to complete it
kinda floating about suiting my mood:

KOTOR 1 -surprised at how well vanilla game works and how fun the story arc is, but i get bored of the combat so I switch it out with

starbound- for builder game goodness, but have yet to even find the main storyline so I feel lost often which makes me want to play:

broken sword- on my kindle right before i sleep, not sure what episode, it works to put me to sleep pretty fast lol

after successfully completing a nostalgic run thru myst masterpiece am going to see if riven will work too

and am about to start Little Nightmares as my next game.

i think after this im set for adventure games so will boot up a more combat oriented one, maybe deus ex with the mod just released by gog.

its funny, never used to game float like i do nowadays
I've recently started replaying both Fallout: New Vegas and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Always fun to revisit them. They're old favourites of mine. And as always, I'm still playing Magic Duels, as I have been for like, the past year since I first started playing it, haha. I sometimes take a couple of days or so away from it, but then I just come right back to it to play a few matches and get some new cards. The deck building itself is just really really fun, especially when you get closer to having all the cards unlocked, and I can't wait for to go to the Amonkhet pre-release and see what I get. There's just so many fun ways to play!

I've also been playing Monster Hunter: Generations pretty much every night since I got it earlier this year. If the new XX version coming out later this year has enough updates and new content going for it, I might upgrade to it, but for now, the base version is plenty enjoyable.

I've been playing Final Fantasy VII. Aerith isn't dead yet.

Just started Elder Scrolls Arena. I'm still feeling my way through the early part of the game, just running odd jobs in the opening town to make some money and get equipment, learning how things work.

I've been randomly playing the Atari 7800 version of Asteroids. It's probably the best version of vanilla Asteroids ever made - gameplay is all there and the graphics are very colorful.
Victor Vran. It's fun for a while.

What class are you playing? (For a first time player, I *highly* recommend playing a spellcasting class; the game is much more manageable that way.)

I did the Q&A thing at the beginning and ended up with a wood elf battlemage.
Dungeon Rats. And, after 16+ hours, I'd definitely recommend it. I just love that game, its mechanics and complexity.

Battlemage is one of the better classes for a newcomer. The only thing to note is that certain Spellmaker effects cost half or double (IIRC, Heal, Cure, Fortify, and Resist Elements (but not Spell Resistance) cost double, and Damage costs half), but that shouldn't cause much difficulty (and, if you want, you can make powerful custom Damage Health spells once you''re a decent level).

Also, the Potion of Restore Power restores spell points; every other potion mimics some spell in the Known Spellbook. Note that Known Spellbook spells are usually not that good as spells; you can usually do better by making custom spells.

One more thing: Offensive spell effects that don't look like they're useful are very likely bugged in some way. Damage Health, Transfer Health, and Paralyze are safe effects that work properly. Non-offensive spells, in my experience, work properly for the most part.

Thanks for the tips. I'll keep them in mind :)
Still Playing Black Desert Online This is such a grind...

Also

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Starters Orders 6

All the best
Been playing Blackguards nonstop since I installed it this Wednesday. It's one of those games where I feel like I want to keep playing it forever, but bodily needs prevent that. I like the music and voice acting, which goes a long way for me and the combat is also quite fun and varied.

It has quite a lot of stuff that I felt I had to google to wrap my head around before playing. It ain't the best to explain how things depend on one another and people go all "RNGesus, why have you forsaken me!". Lots of turn-based games or just PnP-based PC RPG's have that issue of unfair odds where the random number generating to-hit chances don't seem random, but aside from some isolated events (87 % chance to hit is still 13 % risk of failure) it's been going really well.
Finished Bayonetta on Hard Difficulty.

Gonna try playing through Non-Stop ∞ Climax Difficulty.
Somehow I managed to finish 3 games since last Sunday. I guess it does help that they were on the shorter side:
- Kathy Rain is a decent adventure game. Fun for a time but kind of forgettable. *shrug*
- Tales from the Borderlands was much better than I was expecting it to be. A likable cast of misfits and an outlandishly silly but fun story. I didn't even mind the whole thing was pretty much running on one-way tracks.
- Full Throttle really hasn't aged all that well, even with the remaster. Yeah, it's got a decent story and characters, and the new version looks and sounds quite a bit better, but the gameplay is kind of lacking. Those bike fight and bumper car sections are still as bad as they ever were. Also, I knew the game was short, but, my god, I forgot how short. I really can't think of a shorter adventure game that I've played in all of my years of gaming.

Now I'm on to Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell. Seems like a rather SR-light kind of game. I already have 16% cleared even after one hour and a half of play. It's not necessarily a bad thing. So far I'm quite enjoying my time flying and running around with Kinzie and getting into trouble. It ain't no SR 3 or 4, but it's a fun diversion nonetheless.
