morrowslant: Beat the Cat Lady this weekend.
Love that game but apart from that, how great is it that in this forum someone can come in and say that and no one be phased? :P

-What did you do this weekend honey?

-I beat the Cat Lady!
Fallout 2. I'm a deep bit into it and I'm *mostly* enjoying it, but I honestly had a lot more fun with the first Fallout.

Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. It's pretty good actually, the combat is fantastic, it looks good and the writing is...well I can't say anything about the story writing because I've done just enough to unlock the open-ish world. I'm actually more than a bit surprised that it runs without any lag on my two year old budget-y laptop with Intel HD 4000 integrated graphics. The loading screens can take a bit of time but there is no lag at all in-game, though I'm not sure what FPS it's running at, but it plays as smooth as butter. My only complaint so far is that the music is VERY generic.

The Road To Success. It's a freeware "record label tycoon/simulator" game that is a pretty strong clone/spiritual successor of the Chart Wars series. It's pretty much better than the series of which it drew its inspiration from, and it's getting (irregular) updates so it seems that it'll only continue to get better. You can grab a download here http://www.theroad2success.co.uk/
The Last Express. It's pretty good so far, a shame there aren't more games like this.
I struggle with the campaign of Age of Wonders 2: Wizard's Throne.

I'm at water 2 map in normal difficulty level. It takes me more than 3 days to just win a map, and until now, it was always necessary that II restart each map at least one time.

I have performed +/- 25% of the campaign and I'm totally unable to plan when I will have finished the game.

Oh, thanks for the reminder. I'll give it a shot during Christmas, haven't played it in a while. Mechner is my gaming developer idol, I spent so many hours on original Prince of Persia I lost count.
Currently just playing Guild Wars 2, usually PvP and a little exploring/leveling alts.

I finally decided to check out The Old Republic, it's pretty good so far. I am also playing Earthsiege 2 and I am close to wrapping up the Space Quest collection.

Victor Vran and Dirt 3.
Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition
Can't say that I like the character-development-system.
I just started Stardew Valley. God, it takes a long time to build up relationships.

Also, Terraria with the brand new update.
Daylight ps4; it is better than journalists reviews say... The share function is great fun with twitch viewers interactions with one's game.
Industry Giant 2

I quickly tried some of the easy campaign levels. It's a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to the more difficult levels. As far as scratching my openttd itch goes, IG2 comes pretty close.
The game runs pretty well too, with widescreen support, and with only the videos not working. I have read though that some nvidia gpus struggle with it. Not sure how widespread that is.
I did finish the Witcher 3 main storyline over the weekend. It felt a bit anti-climatic with my overpowered Geralt; oh well. I decided to give it a bit of a break after putting around 66 hours into it. I'll probably start up the expansion lines within the next two or three weeks.

Which leads me back into Transport Fever. I've foregone the campaign scenarios for my first generated map. It's only small in size, but man is there so much to do even there. Half the time I get distracted watching my lines doing their thing, and before I know it two/three new vehicles have snuck up on me. I must say, it is damn satisfying to watch a successful transport system at work with three or more freight trains entering/leaving one of my terminal hubs. Watching cities grow, especially my central hub town that is twice as large as the second-best is pretty damn cool.

It's very easy for me to spend hours in TF without doing much at all. As said, for me it is pretty mesmerizing to watch the system at work. It's easy to understand why it's so CPU-heavy with all the rather intricate simulation that's going on behind the scenes, in comparison to the usual half-measure cheating most games in the genre rely on to get stuff done.

Tried to play Cannon Fodder today. It's not a bad game, but after a slow start there's an insane increase in difficulty starting from level 5.
Unreal gold on hard. Just reached Nali Castle.
I'm playing World of Warcraft... again.

Usually I play it for a month and then leave for 3-4 months. It's also a really good way of clearing my emotional state between serious games such as Witcher or Dishonored. However, since Blizzard made it possible to pay for the monthly subscription with in-game gold, it all went downhill. I end up making so much gold throughout a month, that paying that fee is a non-issue. Effectively the game is free to play for me at this point. (Well aside from paying $60 for the actual game, but that's a one-time fee.) The fact that the latest expansion is quite good doesn't help matters any. Oh and I also got a free month when someone I sent an invite to signed up. So yea, it's hard to leave when free time is just being thrown at you.

I'm gonna try to finish up my month and take a long break again. I still need to play Rise of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, and Dishonored 2. Oh and I really need to come back and finish The Legend of Grimrock 2 and Pillars of Eternity, both of which I got about 2/3 through, but by now had forgotten EVERYTHING. It's gonna be tough.
