Trying Call of Cthulhu Dark Corners of the Earth; it is rough but the ambiance is phenomenal.
Playing Phantasy Star 3 these days. In the third generation as Crys (people say he's the hardest third gen because of only 2 healers, but there are plenty of items that cast healing spells for free, including the Force Vest (Rever 10) and Royal Vest (Nasak 50) combo; yes, the Royal Vest casts Nasak at power 50, causing it to never (AFAIK) fail).

I wish the game had telepipes; you have to do a *lot* of backtracking in this game. For example, in the first generation, you have to go through the Aquatica-Aridia passage 4 times, which can get annoying. A telepipe item that allowed you to teleport to any town you visited in the current generation would save a lot of time and annoyance. (There is one point where a telepipe could put the game into an unwinnable state, but that could have easily been prevented, but then again they didn't do anything to prevent making the game unwinnable by using an escapipe at the wrong time.)

After I beat the game, I am considering maybe loading a end of 1st gen save and using the escapipe glitch to play through the escapipe glitch route (marry Lena, immediately use an escapipe, kill the 1st gen boss again, and then marry Alair (who you haven't met)).
Ultima 5 adventure continues.
My avatar meditated in the shrines of 8 virtues.and went to the shrine of the CODEX in the Avatar island and then back to the shrines 8 times. It was cumbersome tasks.
Also at last all party members equipped missile weapons (Me, Shamino fighter, Katrina fighter, Jaana mage were magic axe, Gwenno bard was cross bow, Iolo bard was magic bow). because melee weapons were almost useless against sea monsters.

Also I've begun Silent Hunter 3 recently.
After the war had begun my U-boat roaming the English channel for few hours in the real time! and finally I meet an ore ship of the British and sank it. which is my first victim and returned the Kiel naval base.
I upgrade type II-A U-boat to II-D for 500 renown(currency in the game).
I want to get the type VII which is the newest boat but it cost 2500 renown and I have only 700 renown right now.

I guess GOG (unless they're taking a break due to the sale) killed of the "What are you playing this weekend" threads, huh? Oh well.

Still playing through Dark Souls 3. Trying to decide whether to wait until I get to SL 70+ or just start playing through the DLC. That's pretty much the level I read most people recommend before playing through it.

Also messing around with the games on the NES Mini Classic. I knew it would be small, but damn it's tiny when I hold it in my hand.

fables22: I don't know, it might have to do with the aesthetics of C3 that just appeals to me a bit more. But maybe I need to give Pharaoh another shot to see if I feel differently quite a few years on.

Matewis: Atmosphere plays a big part I think with these games. It's why I've stayed away from Zeus for so long. The way the quasi historical settings of its predecessors are portrayed excites me way more for some reason. Though after Disney's Hercules I'm willing to give it a shot :)

Speaking of aesthetics, I love how stunning the series looks even today with a widescreen patches. If I can somehow muster the patience I'd really like to create full-sized screenshots of each city in its entirety. Hell of a job, but worth it: http://i.imgur.com/X8lnJnl.jpg
Wow, that is stunning!
Condemned, Crlminal Origin; it is creepy but interesting... But creepy.
I've been playing The Last Door Season 2 for a while ago; it's not a long game, just got a little stalled in the current chapter. I'll probably try to finish that up (or at least start the final chapter) tonight.

I'm finding it a bit of a let-down, unfortunately. It's bigger than the first season, with each chapter having multiple areas, and the puzzles are a little harder ... but all that seems to mean is that it's less focused, with more time spent wandering around trying to decide what to do next. Bigger isn't always better. Still, not bad, and after coming all this way it would be silly not to see how it turns out.
Dex. Cyberpunk rpg platformer automatically get free pass in my book to jump over any backlog. Damn this game is nice. Cool environment, pretty good story, decent gameplay. If you like cyberpunk then this game deserves a go
Also, has anyone played Overcooked yet? Most fun I've had in ages (outside of the GOG HQ, obviously :))!
Making a return visit to Tales of Maj'eyal +addons.
Death awaits :/ one day this will click for me i hope.
Mostly playing Persona 4, which I had started a while back, then put away until a couple of weeks ago. The delay has helped because when I started it I was fresh off of beating Persona 3 and I was distracted by the little differences between the games. Coming at it relatively fresh, I feel like I'm better able to appreciate it as its own thing.

Also been playing A Boy and His Blob. It's fairly easy but cute :)
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army

I just started this, so other than noticing that the combat wasn't at all what I expected (more "Tales of..."/Star Ocean than traditional SMT), I haven't formed much of an opinion yet.
I played some rollercoaster tycoon deluxe, beaten nevermore park which required me to make 10 different rollercoasters with 1400 meter lenght and excitment at 7,did it in 7 years ingame. Also beaten the next level so i think i only have like 5 more loopy landscapes scenarios to beat and then i think i am done with rct1 since original and added attractions are already finished, except if i decide to play real parks and one extra park.
Played this in german language. One strange thing about the german language is they say they don't need to go to the the toilet in german even they need to actually go to it(ich muss nicht zur toilete, don't know how to write ithe german big B).
This game all together very chalenging and fun but nothing that i would deem unbeatable, been playing it activly about 2 years with huge breaks between, also about save games i have them all but good thing about gog version is it brings over all your unlocked parks not like the cd version i had which i had to load each save game before reaching the goal. Also next would be playing rollercoaster tycoon 2 with all the add-ons.
Beat the Cat Lady this weekend. Messing with the jerk in Apt 6 was a definite highlight in the game.

Restarted Crusader: No Regret on a Surface Pro 4....game is definite step up in difficulty from No Remorse.
Spiderbombs don't work 3/4 of the time for me, they keep getting caught on invisible walls when I deploy them.
Personnel mines seem as useless as they were in No Remorse, am happy the pistol was removed from No Regret.

Main downside to playing No Regret on a Surface Pro 4 is that the physical keyboard isn't suited for old school games...there is dedicated up/down/left/right arrows on it, however the up/down keys are half/sized. Had to rebind Right Shift key as an additional UP key.

Help me pick my next game to play along Crusader No Regret. Have it narrowed down to Darklands, Realms of Arkania 1, or Avernum 1 (2000 release). Any recommendations/warnings for those three choices?

Do you have a numeric keypad? Movement in that game is cumbersome without one; the arrow keys effectively only let you move diagonally, and anyone familiar with chess knows that only half the squares can be covered with diagonal movement.

(I believe there's a program out there to specifically address this issue in the game, but you need to start it before playing and turn it off after if you don't want it interfering with other programs.)
