andysheets1975: I've been on a Tolkien kick lately, so I started playing...

LOTR: War in the North, which is a fairly basic action RPG inspired by the movies. I'm currently in the Barrow Downs and I'm conflicted on whether to continue because I'm not finding it very engaging. It's kind of cool to see locations and characters the movies couldn't get into, at least.

So then I hunted around for something else and found a Mount and Blade mod called The Third Age, which is based on the book. I needed a little while to get adjusted to the map being more sparsely detailed, but I'm really liking it now. They did a nice job with it.
WITN is best played multiplayer, as I understand.

Is that the Last Days of the Third Age mod for MnB or Warband? I've played both and the WB one is just a port of the original with improvements, still being implemented but totally playable to the end of the War of the Ring. Great mod, one of my favorites in any game ever made.

Edited to add what I've been playing: KOTOR 2 with Sith Lords restored mod, Thrawn's Revenge mod for Star Wars:Empire at War which I've owned for years but had never tried this mod, which is amazing.

Ha, that makes sense.

I'm playing it on vanilla MnB. One of these days I'll finally upgrade to Warband.

NoNewTaleToTell: F.E.A.R.

I'm getting really sick and tired of the completely unavoidable/forced damage in certain areas/sequences, otherwise I'm enjoying it as a FPS with slight (SLIGHT) horror overtones. The story is dragging its feet and the atmosphere (in Interval four anyway) and horror has completely lost its edge, hopefully that will change soon. Even if its horror and atmosphere continue to fizzle I will probably finish it since the actual FPS part of the game is great.

Fallout 3 heavily modified to host eating/drinking/sleeping requirements and a few other mods that....well technically 15gb of extra content, nuff said >_>

lol
I think I might continue my impossibly overpowered Monk playthrough of Neverwinter Nights, and maybe play some more Sims 2 on my quest to buy the biggest house in Pleasantview.

I'm thinking of moving into a nice $35,000 wood house on Lakeside Drive actually.
Diablo 3 reaper of souls, Great game
Resident Evil: Revelations on my brand new New 3DS XL. Aiming with the analog nub is something that it feels like I'll never get used to, but I like the game quite a lot. I've had a few really tense moments in the first couple of chapters, so I'm happy.
The Book of Unwritten Tales 2
I ordered an XBox controller (delivery is estimated for Thursday) and then I try Hand of Fate with it.
1. Minecraft (creative mode only)
2. Diablo 2 + Lord of Destruction
3. SotS: The Pit
Lesbian Spider-Queens of Mars

A fun to play Wizard of Wor clone with a great theme. ;)

Of course the totally uncensored version on itch.io is even better:

I love that game :)
Music Wars Rebirth. I've grown my label to a National size! Finally able to release records in two whole countries, wow! Behold my mighty label! I have exactly one artist signed and shes worth more money (several hundred million dollars) than my actual label since she gets 100% of her touring income. Darn these greedy artists taking advantage of their poor starving record labels!

Between Music Wars Rebirth and Total Extreme Wrestling I'm really enjoying text based sim games. Anybody have any recommendations? I know Wolverine Studios and Grey Dog Software are two of the leaders in that scene but I'm always looking to discover more games!

Also, both Music Wars Rebirth and Total Extreme Wrestling are available for free (legally) via their developer's websites, Music Wars Rebirth via Wolverine Studios and Total Extreme Wrestling via Grey Dog Software.

Jagged Alliance 2

Dressen was liberated!!
Already 5 days passed, I hired our mercs for 7 days. so they remain in 2 days.
I activated a mine of Dressen which is the only income right now.
I don't have enough money. perhaps one of the mercs will not hire anymore...decision, decision...
Toonstruck

Finally, I get to play the second half after 17 years, and, my god, I forgot about all the puns in this game. I'm loving it! ;) Although I can see that if one isn't a native (or at least well versed) English speaker figuring out the parts for the cutefier could be somewhat problematic as the whole list is a play on words. Anyway, it's very good fun. :)
I'm trying to finish Blade of Darkness, but the brutal final level does not agree with my choice! :P
Seriously, in the two last stages enemies start to become so horrendously powerful and the rooms get so tricky that managing to get trough them is a pain.
Actually, I would have probably already finished it, but my iron will demands to end it with an "Awesome!" rating, obtainable only when (if my calculations are correct) saving less than 3 times in a level. Right now my counter is at 21 for 14 levels: not bad!
It would have been even better if only I knew that restarting a level removes the saves you amde after starting it...

I have also started Valdis Story, a very nice metroidvania-style action/platformer. Imo, the mechanics are far better than the much praised Stymphony of the Night. I decided to play it on hard, expecting the usual shallow challenge on normal and now, well... it is proving to be hard, indeed! Some bosses are really tough.
Anyway, until now (2 hours and an half in) I must say the game is varied, fun and interesting, especially when fighting the above mentioned bosses.

I'm playing Silent Storm, too, but my recent lack of time for long turn based games is holding it a bit, unfortunately! :(
