Quest for Glory.

What a good and pleasant game. But I think it would have been better as a pure adventure; the combat is definitely the weakest point of the game.
Currently playing Shadowrun Returns. It's a very good game. I'll get the Dragonfall add-on when i complete the base game.

Emob78: Boy, no kidding. The Hearthfire homes are ridiculous. You have to have like 400 iron ingots to build one. I had no idea it was going to be a 2-3 day sub quest type of deal just to get my house built. Suddenly that cheap Breezehome in Whiterun doesn't seem like such a bad option.
At least you can leave all that furnishing (except for the cellar) to your steward (if you have one). So you need only the materials for building the house. And then you can spend hours upon hours to decorate them with your trophies, rare/unique weapons, armors, dished and cutlery and other random but somehow interesting clutter.

Lucky you :) I can't get the game to work on my PC no matter what I try :)
As for me, last night I played a little of Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Batuta (yes, the bad game ripping Uncharted :))
Gamebreaking bug stopped my progress :)

I think the pay money option for the furnishings must be bugged. I paid my steward at Lakeview to furnish my kitchen and nothing showed up... ended up having to build all the stuff myself with the housing materials.

But yeah, it is a must to get a home in Skyrim. There's only a couple of houses in the game with containers safe to store stuff in... and you always end up with a ton of loot and nowhere to put it until you get a house.

I've heard that some players (thieves mainly) just loot and sell their gear before their weight limit hits. That must take forever running around to merchants and selling stuff all the time. Better to have a stash somewhere.
Still slowly working my way through Machinarium, but having more fun playing Pid. I'm getting used to the controls and the increasing challenges. It's more fun than I thought it would be.

Just an FYI: if you pay your steward to furnish your Hearthfire homes it can take a while in-game for the furnishings to appear but it will be furnished eventually. I think it takes something like one month in-game time. Once I paid my steward to furnish my home (Lakeview Manor I think) and I went and did the entire Dawnguard questline and when I got back only half of the house had been furnished.

On topic: I'm going to go play Edna & Harvey: The Breakout
Galactic Civilizations 3

Did you travel and wait a little while. I've heard rumours about bugs and such, but when I ordered the furniture and went adventuring about a week later everything was there. Note that I used the unofficial patches from NexusMods.

Well after a while I gave up on taking everthing. You wouldn't gather every clutter in real life, would you? At first I took only items with a weight/value ratio of 1:20, later 1:100. I currently have more than 100,000 septims and nothing to spend it on.
But I agree it's rather painful to get the first 5000 needed for Breezehome, since you come across a few unique items (i.e. the stuff if you become Thane) that you might want to keep as memorabilia.

I think it takes about a week. But you have to leave the house or nothing happens. And in my case everything was furnished (I ordered everything in one go) - may the unofficial patch at work here?

I think as long as you leave the house for whatever time it takes (a week in-game maybe) then when you do return the entire home will be furnished, but if you keep visiting then the home will be slowly furnished. Maybe revisiting the home resets the timer or something?

Rinu: It seems I will get stuck on Skyrim.

toxicTom: Good luck. That one is a timesink of gargantuan proportions. And of you're like me and can spend hours decorating your home(s)... Or just goes hiking to see where that little path takes me...
Haha, this is so true:

When I visited Bleak Falls Barrow, I was like "Eh, I am starting to carry too much. I will just try to go further to find some sideway doors to outside" when I was kinda forced to clear the dungeon because of lack of these and being already too deep in the cave, lol.

All previous Elder Scrolls took me to endure max 10-15 hours of gameplay because characters and quests were quite cookie-cutters. Medieval/dragons gets boring fast but so far I enjoy it since they improve a lot of these weakness and a lot of action is happening above ground in beautiful areas. :3
I recently started Outcast and am really enjoying it thus far. (While I've been playing video games since the early-mid 80's, I only recently came to PC gaming, so I have plenty to catch up on; hooray for GOG.)

Given the cold and snowy setting of Syberia I would also like to start that up soon so that I might finish it, or at least mostly so, before the real-world warm weather runs out, heh. I wouldn't ordinarily like to have two games of these types going at the same time, lots to keep track of mentally, but I already started Outcast and just know that playing Syberia in the winter will make me feel even colder, heh.

I just finished Broken Sword 1 and have just started playing Broken Sword 2. I've only just started, but I am loving it. It's amazing how many visual improvements there are between the the first and second games.

If you haven't picked these games up yet, snag the bundle that is available today. It is more than worth the investment.
