Randal down at the video store recommends all of these:

"Whispers in the Wind", "To Each His Own", "Put It Where It Doesn't Belong", "My Pipes Need Cleaning", "All Tit-Fucking, Volume 8", "I Need Your Cock", "Ass-Worshipping Rimjobbers", "My Cunt and Eight Shafts", "Cum Clean", "Cum-Gargling Naked Sluts", "Cum Buns 3", "Cumming in Socks", "Cum on Eileen", "Huge Black Cocks with Pearly White Cum", "Girls Who Crave Cock", "Girls Who Crave Cunt", "Men Alone 2: The K-Y Connection", "Pink Pussy Lips", oh yeah, and, uh, "All Holes Filled with Hard Cock".
Drive, directed by spoilt brat and all-around insufferably self-important douchebag Nicolas Winding Refn. Best movie of 2011.

Smith should've gone with the ending where Dante gets shot at the end. To quote Dante himself: "It ends on such a down note. I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All "Jedi" had was a bunch of Muppets." Sounds like Dante would've appreciated a downer ending as well.

OH SHIT SORRY! :P
When my rep hit zero, the guy doing it to me Wakkalo, started spam PMing with alts, and he kept changing the alts so that I couldn't block him. I had to turn my chat to 'friends only' and I guess I forgot to add a few people. :P

Sorry about that. Give me second here. :D

The movie was based on "Inferno", and last time I checked, no one gets shot at the end of that. :P
Spirited Away (Hayao Miyazaki, 2001)
• Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl | 2003 | Gore Verbinski

Someone should post the other two films too! Haven't watched the 4th one yet but I heard it isn't on par with the previous films.

Vainamoinen: There's no action in the book, by the way. It's just boring. :)
In my opinion, the topics adressed in the story are far more powerful than whatever action there is, but truth to be said, the action scenes are some of the best and most tense I've seen because of what you correctly described as "shot like documentary-style"; the action was raw. I haven't read the book though, but I guess I wouldn't mind the lack of any action if the story is so good.

"Boring" was a cheeky comment on the book, I'll have to retract it somehow. It's quite good, actually, it's just a completely different perspective on the same problem. P. D. James shows a dying world, and people have mostly accepted that it's happening, people lost their sex drive right alongside fertility, are looking into euthanasia, government is winding down. It's mostly a tranquil end of days scenario, really. Cuaron's movie, however, shows a world in absolute uproar over the lack of childbirth.

What a bleak future; a nightmare. Just read (in Wikipedia) about the "Quietus" program; the film really had a lot of alterations made. Actually, I'd guess the book is even more bleak than the film.
Since when is the year 2000 part of 21st century? :p
CLOUD ATLAS
Release Year: 2012
Directors: The Wachowskis and Tom Tykwer
The Day The Clown Cried (2025, Jerry Lewis)
Daisy (Wai-Keung Lau, 2006)

If you ever watch this, make sure it's the 125 minute director's cut or don't even bother. The shorter version was so drastically re-edited that it's practically a different movie.

• Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny | 2006 | Liam Lynch

My favourite 21th century comedy film. Also, Tim Robbins is absolutely one hundred percent awesome! I don't know if this film is *that* good if you're not a rocker/metalhead.
