tinyE: I think it was a tad overrated but still worth it for Tom Cruise, and no I'm not joking. His performance in that movie will blow your mind. :P
I didn't even realize he was in the movie until the end credits. That's how great his performance was.

EXACTLY!
I am not a fan of his, but he owns that part.
Mine is definitely Assassins (1995). Zatoichi (2003) was also alright.

I know that its pre-2000, but it doesn't age. :)

Not much. Drive wasn't too bad. More style than substance, but it least it had a little style. Children of Men was also pretty good. Bit preachy, but I liked the ending and it seemed to have something to say without saying it too loudly. Pretty much everything 21st century has been CGI jerkoff garbage. Wouldn't waste a wet fart on 90% of it.
The Royal Tenenbaums (Wes Anderson, 2001)
Can't believe this wasn't mentioned yet:

Pan's Labyrinth (Guillermo del Toro, 2006)

lazydog: Never Let Me Go

Director Mark Romanek

Year 2010

I have just read the full list, the fantastic mr fox is also a brilliant piece of film.
Never Let Me Go is probably the only decent movie out there that deals with a particular topic. (And no, I can't elaborate because that would give the movie away).
WALL·E (Andrew Stanton, 2008)
