Up to 75% off Freedom Planet, Guacamelee, FEZ, Shantae, and more!

We've been waiting four years to get a 29th of February, but now finally it's here! And what better way to celebrate Leap Day than by going, well, leaping. The occasion calls for some gravity-defying, platform-reaching, hyperkinetic action and that's why we've invited some leaping experts to show us their agile ways. And although it took some effort, we managed to keep the prices pinned to the ground and even knock them down a notch or three.

Ready to protect Freedom Planet from an alien warlord that is after its most precious artifact? It will require speed, agility, excellent reflexes, and some sassy attitude but there is a dragon girl and a wildcat who possess just the right set of skills for the job.

Unlockable characters, randomized levels, dozens of items, and enemies that grow stronger the longer you stay on their mysterious planet. There is also a Risk of Rain and permadeath involved but the hours of intense platforming action more than make up for it.

It has horns, a mean forehead, and a funky beard. No, it's not your mother-in-law, we're talking about Escape Goat here! Together with its immortal mouse friend they solve puzzles, avoid deadly traps, and use the intricacies of the environment to escape the most dangerous of strongholds.

Get your feet off the ground and jump sky-high for the long-awaited arrival of Leap Day! If need be, seek inspiration in excellent platformers like Guacamelee, FEZ, Shantae and the Pirate's Curse or just take a glance at their discounted prices. That should lift your spirits right up! The promo will last until March 04, 10:59 AM GMT.

OK, OK, I bought it! I was waiting for Risk of Rain for a while(I missed it during last year-end sale). Finally I bought it on sale. It's a great game, but really challenging.
Dang it, I knew I should have waited for the Monday sale. Not a Hero is fun but I would have probably picked Super Time Force over it. Hopefully it won't be too long before it goes on sale again :)

PaterAlf: Any opinions on Super Time Force Ultra?

groze: My GOG forum avatar should be indication that I love it! :P

It's seriously one of the most fun, mechanically tight games I've played in recent years; if you like platformer goodness with a twist (time rewind and ghosts of your previous runs that help you), you can't go wrong with Super Time Force Ultra. It's easy enough for a quick first playthrough, but unlocking characters and extra modes can be really challenging, if you're into that sort of thing.

I highly recommend it.
Thanks from me too. I just bought it. But, I read that some characters are exclusive on other platforms, so they are not in the GOG version. .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·.

I think there are exclusive characters on PS4 version too. They should release a GOG version with exclusive characters too.
I'll take the new Shantae, ta! Already have all I want otherwise. Folks should pick up the Escape Goat series in my opinion. I found them to be pretty much perfectly balanced puzzle platformers, unlike other titles which I eventually gave up on or grew bored with.

This too. Risk of Rain is fabulous. Hard as dried corn, but it can be finished once you get good at it. And there is a lot of character choice and strategy involved.

catpower1980: Geez, I had to google up Leap Day because I thought it was yet another Polish holiday :o)

ValamirCleaver: Why, what is February 29th called in Walloon or Flemish?
I was gonna ask that, too. (Although Walloon (which is different enough from French to be considered a distinct language), as I understand it, is kind of a dying language -- most Walloons speak French. : ) )

That may be true; but based on my obviously limited understanding; Wallon is a lot more close to French than let's say Castillian (Spanish) is to Galacian, Catalan, Austurian, or even Leonese for that matter. Even with my limited knowledge of Norteño del Noroeste & Bajacaliforniano Mexican Spanish I can still understand can understand parts of all the previously listed languages in addition to varying bits of Portuguese, Provencal, Italian, Latin and a little bit of Sicilian & Romanian; especially in written form.
Gee, I think this might be a first in two years. A GOG sale in which I don't own or have wishlisted any of the games. o_0

I'm not saying the games are bad, mind you. Just not my cup of tea.
What an inventive idea for a promo, GOG! Make sure not to let go of whoever came up with that!

Hmm I'm a student of life. Sometimes that leaves me blue in my own way :)

Good luck:)
Just uninstalled Guacamelee, the game is pretty good and I had fun playing it, but trying to get the "real" ending is beyond frustrating (never was that pissed because of a game honestly xD), the platforming you have to do to get a certain item is harder than any other I´ve seen this far.
