You'll probably get banned by tomorrow if you troll like I did with the GOG promo though.

disi: I don't see any harm, good and informative post ;)
Steam bans harmful posts? Wow. Anyway, I just pasted the discussion we had here onto Steam. Hopefully, the Steam forum mods don't delete it for linking to other DD platforms XD

F4LL0UT: Yeah, well, can't blame the games for being incompatible with the Xbox 360 controller because - you said it yourself - Microsoft screwed up all sorts of things when introducing that one and the XInput API.
Additionally back in 2006 Microsoft deliberately scrapped PC Gameport support in Windows Vista to help their 360 sales.
I just miss the recommended requirements but at least with my upgrade i can still run it.Got a FX 8320 not the 8350 but i'd like to know is if i overclocked it would it meet the recommended requirements.

The reason i got the 8320 because i've read that its a underclocked 8350 & some people have overclocked it to similar speeds to the 8350.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piledriver_%28microarchitecture%29

OCd 8320 will be more than enough.
See hoe small the performance difference there is: http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/698?vs=697

Your GPU may be a bit weak though. What resolution are you playing at?

I've got the GPU covered Asus strix gtx 970 my MSI Radeon 7750 is showing its age with some of the newer games i've played. 1080p I maybe able to run it on my current one if i take it down to 144p XD.
GTX 650 Ti Boost
6 GB Ram
Intel Core 2 Q9650
Fuck...it's time for an upgrade....

ENOUGH?? http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/49?vs=188
DA CLOSENESS IS STRONK http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1040?vs=1039
If you're GPU is 2GB GDDR5, I think you'll be able to play on 1080p and do much much better on lower resolutions; going by those benchmarks.

Fomalhaut30: I think I'm limited to the 280's. I looked at some of the lengths for the 280x's and higher and they simply won't fit in my case.

Matruchus: Yeah the new cards are very big and certainly are a hard fit in the older cases. The new cases have that problem nicely fixed by having the hdd holding parts removable for making more space.
I feel a special kind of stupid. I did not realize that my hdd bay was removable. Instead of being limited to ~10.5 inches for video cards, I can go up to ~17 inches. Can't crossfire or sli two of them at that length, but I can get at least one in there.
Hi! :D
I have a question about the requirments for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt on PC!
Is the recommended requirements for max settings or fo example medium?

Recommended specs look like for max-almost max settings at 1080p.
That's depressing: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/2trb9b/adam_badowski_cd_projekt_red_managing_director_in/

1080p 30fps with specs like that??

Hmm...I had a feeling that would be the case since the new gameplay video they released from PC is also locked at 30 fps. I guess you would need an SLI setup to even come close to 60 fps in the game which to me is an indication that the Red Engine 3 itself is not scalable enough.

I am still amazed by how great the Fox Engine is and on PC you can run Ground Zeroes on a variety of low to high end configurations where the game still looks fantastic across the board.
I feel CDPR is being modest in the interview by saying its 30 and the console and PC versions look similar. They're probably trying to pleasantly surprise everyone with better launch performance; but I don't think they should go so far as to say those things. Not hyping up or being overly modest is best, IMO. And we know how backlash works in the PC gaming community.

Smannesman: Well.. set everything to minimum and set the resolution to 320x200 and I can probably run it.
Laughed harder than I should have, +1 to you
