We've been studying your valuable feedback on this annual event, including comments like "AAAAARRRRGHHHHHH!!!" and "Please, why won't you let me sleep?!". We took them to heart and decided that what you guys are saying is that you need more gaming stimulants to fight away sleepiness. Worry not, we're here to help.

You lucky Insomniacs will also be treated to a number of games never before seen on GOG.com as well as the best-ever deal on our crowning jewel - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (-50% after the recent price drop, that's $24.99 in the USA).

If you want to learn more about the intricacies behind this whole science of non-sleep, check out the promo FAQ. But don't dally there too long, because games will start disappearing before your bloodshot eyes!

The GOG.com Insomnia Sale starts Monday, March 21, 2:00 PM GMT and will run until the limited-quantity deals run out.

Niggles: I think the whole point of this format is to work on peoples impulse buying (and keeping people stuck viewing the site - who knows potential buyers might buy other games not on sale as well).
You might as well be right. I just have my wishlist and my price limit, but last and foremost I've got my 40+ years of age, so I have my instincts under better control. There's much less of this, "But it's just $1 more than my limit is, shouldn't I reconsider?" thing for me. I'll have to remember that I'm not the target group of most marketing campaigns in most industries anymore. ;)

It's not the same. I tried the 666th but sneezed (or my dog barked, who knows?) and missed it ;P
I missed both system shock and terraria LOL... next time I have to take a faster internet connection

Speak for yourself! The only thing that's stopped me from buying more backlog fodder is the workaround I have to use to save my store credit which means a lot of the games have gone before l get to PayPal.

Incidentally, GOG Support have just responded again in the last 5 minutes - apparently the separate checkout for the sale is their way to work round a technical issue. Sorry, but there's a perfectly working non sale checkout system. I'm not buying it! (Or any games in this sale it would appear!)

j0ekerr: 50 copies of Kyrandia, 1 minute 10 seconds.

I literally take longer than that when I've had 2 cups of tea.
Hehehe, indeed. Chances are good that I'll miss other opportunities multiple times at the going rate, but sometimes I get lucky too. Then there's always the big summer sale not too long from now as well. :) Personally I prefer the summer+winter sales more. :)

:D Doesn't happen to me that often that I laugh out loud in an empty room. You've just made my - well, if not day, then early afternoon for sure.
Funny with a number of folks complaining about the sale format.... clearly the sale is it doing what it intends as sales seem very brisk. I happen to like the various sale types GOG tries out... sometimes I buy, sometimes I don't.... That's the beauty of free choice. Good luck to all that are trying for something specific!! Eyes Open!! :)

Plus it's got that "one more turn" appeal/madness.
I have work to do but instead I'm here waiting for TWAU!
I already have it, but I really suggest you to get dreamfall chapters for 8€ it's a good deal.

It most certainly is, or rather was.
And with that I bid you adieu. I'm not waiting anymore for Bigby to show up.
