YenRug: The bundle was supplied as three separate items, can't be sure, but presumably there would have been separate gift codes for each item. You could have still bought it and redeemed the gift codes for the other two games on your own account.
avatar
Shendue: Yeah, i bought the ANNO bundle and I already owned 3 of the 4 games. Still got the full discount on the 4th game.
So u had to buy the whole bundle? Did u end up with seperate keys?
avatar
tanukisuit: I'm beyond livid over that. I have given myself 4hours of sleep the last 2 evenings watching the site while doing other stuff, even through work waiting on it it's bullcrap. I had something planned I had to do, and when I got out of the first longer part of that, I checked nothing, minutes later it pops, then I see it was 50min ago when I check after I was done with my thing. I yelled when I saw that in my car, still pissed about it. Now it's like do I even bother waiting again to see if it pops up once more given that METRO fired off twice within an hour or two yesterday to play catch up.
avatar
Shendue: Yeah. I love GOG but sometimes it feels like they are trolling us. And they definetely trolled people with the D&D bundle. It's like they looked purposedly for the best way to prevent people figuring out when/if the bundle would came back. It just didn't make sense for me.
I can handle not being able to get it because i'm not fast enough to click before other people, but waiting for a whole day and a half and it doesn't show up at all and then it's there out of the blue makes no sense. It is, indeed, trolling.
To be straight with all of you, I have my motive. I'm sure a lot of you probably think well $60 isn't much or $30 when they're individually 1/2 off isn't bad either, but for me it is. My wife is partially disabled can barely work and we don't scrape by well without family help. Because of that I'm very limited in funds and what I can do without selling off old video games or other stuff I have. So I limit myself to cheap GoG purchases and more or less the old Gameboy carts as almost all them can be had in the $3-30 range (greatly $3-10ish range.) So when I saw that 75% I sat and sat because a game like that (let alone 3) can take months a piece to play out the story if not years between them all. I could really get some long term fun and distraction. That's why I'm pissed off. It's not one of those oh sh*t I missed it moments, it's a finally can afford it and the system screwed me anger.
avatar
andimisaris: I did think that could be the case but I wasn't prepared to drop $20 on it to be told it was a bundled package. If someone can confirm that's the case then I might try and hover around in the hopes of seeing the bundle again
As i wrote already, i bought the ANNO bundle despite already having 3 games out of 4 and I only paid for the 4th game, with the same discount of the whole bundle applied to the price of the single game.
You'd definetely be allowed to pay only for the games you don't already own.
But since last time they had EXACTLY 57 copies available, I think it's pretty safe to assume it's not coming back this time.
If it were 50 or even 55 copies, there would have been a chance, but the odd 57 number means very likely that those were all the copies left.

Nope, I just had to pay for the one game i didn't have, and the discount was applied just to that game instead of the whole bundle.

Yes I have seen that with other bundles in this sale too. This didnt happen with the DnD bundle, thats what I'm saying. All 3 games came up, including the 1 i owned and it forced me to gift it. So I didnt buy it. If it was working like the others than I wouldnt have hesitated.

Its done now I guess, Ill just wait for the next sale

That's unfortunate and i sympathize with your situation.
But no matter the reason, even if you has a shitload of money and just wanted to grab another game at a discounted price, it was still handled poorly IMO.
Now that you told me, I'm even more inclined to hope GOG realizes how high the demand for a discount on these games is and tries to manage giving us more of them.

Really? Sorry, then, I misunderstood the issue.
I think you should try contacting GOG about it. Maybe there's nothing they'll do, but it's worth trying.

Yeah no doubt.

As for her I'm going to use some tax money to hire a pro to write a solid resume and things for her, she has some skills and even worked for the USMC for a few years (a few years ago) too. I'm hoping with the coaching and write up we can get her a sit down job her body can handle and get the money back in because as of now it has been stand up jobs and she can't take more than 4-5hrs on foot in such a spot like 3 days a week at best. Going from a good $15/hr 40/wk job down to $10/hr 15/wk is murder on the wallet.

Unfortunately I've read a lot on these forums about all kind of economical issues and health problems. I really hope the best for every single one of those people because I really like the GOG community. Unlike in many other places I've been chatting online, here most of the people is pretty nice.
(SCAMMERS APART, obviously. May those damned hyenas rot in hell forever.)

I hope the best for you and your wife. If I happen to ever be able to grab an extra copy of those games for some sort of miracle, I'll be happy to gift them to you.
Maybe try asking on the community giveaway and other giveway threads. It's pretty unlikely they'll have code for those specific games, due to the high demand, but it's always worth a try.

Oh I don't want pity gifts. I'll pay the rate of the current discount if someone got a spare, it's the right thing to do.

I did put a request in since I did earn Grimrock 2 but I've had no bites.

A true saint of a GoG'r just gifted me the package. Wow, never had someone be that nice on a forum before. I'm going to at least try and compensate him the price as it's the right thing to do.

All good mate. I sent off a request and will see what they say. But yeah, doubt anything will come from it

No pity gifts at all. If everything, what I appreciate about the community is that they donate indiscriminately as long as you are not a scammer of a douchebag. It doesn't matter, as long as you are a nice person, since they know that most people will eventually give back to other GOGgers if they aren't broke.

It's rare to find that with gamers anymore, anything more than a few years old turns into a violent cash and scam grab to one up the rest which is why I walked away from old Nintendo(nes/snes/n64) carts completely.

Due to him not wanting compensation I have a gift code for a game, in the other thread related to this the sales tracking thread I put a post up, first one to chat me can get legend of grimrock 2 key if they have a legitimate interest in the game to play it.

IT's taken in case someone hops.

until the freebies ran out some people said that they filled in the collections with them if you owned part of them already

btw I have a feeling if you missed something try g2a.com (or something similar)

although I think that's why gift codes were only given if ya already owned it sos they could cut down on the resellers......................

Hrrm cannot catch a break lol. Missed pillers of eternity every single time.
So, is it sure that the D&D combo is not coming back? Crap, I've been waiting on that for ages and never even saw it. How much was it?

TIA for any info.
