I was wondering about that.

skeletonbow: Not sure what the reason for it is, but it's pretty annoying that you can not click on the Insomnia sale anywhere and be taken to the page for the given game to investigate it, whether it is compatible with your OS or hardware, see screenshots, trailers, find out what it is even about, etc. nor can you do that from the shopping cart if you put it in your cart. That is extremely inconvenient whether it was done by mistake or done on purpose for some particular reason or another. The only way you can find out what a game is all about is by opening another browser tab into the GAMES navigation button, then manually typing in the name of the game by hand.

Seriously, that is extremely not customer friendly to say the least. I don't know if any blues have stated why it is done this way or not, but it is unfriendly no matter how you slice it. :) Likewise, any of us gamers can speculate reasons why it might be like this too, and zero of our reasons matter if users are confused and irritated by it.

I can think of one reason speculatively why it might be like this on purpose, which is that the promoted games are in such small quantities and will disappear quickly that one does not have enough time to even peruse the game page, so allowing people to easily navigate to the page to find out about it will cause them to miss out on being able to buy it. If this is true then it is really boiling down to whether more people get annoyed by being unable to research the games by making a simple single click to go to the store page, or more people get annoyed by bringing up a store page then later being unable to buy the game as the promo has moved on to the next game.

That is just pure speculation of course, and means nothing without an official word. Either way though, the current situation is pretty irritating for sure, and I've seen many people comment about being annoyed by it both in the forums here and on IRC.

Moments ago I just saw a new game which I think was called "Jotun" pop up which I've never seen before on the site, and it appears to have just been added new. But there is no news article linking to the game's store page, and no way to click on the Insomnia promo to go find out what the game is about. It was too much effort to jump through the hoops to go manually look in the game catalogue and type it in by hand so I just ignored it and will wait until something shows up somewhere on the site today/tomorrow/a month from now, whenever that allows me to find out about that (or any other) game(s) by a single mouse click. That's just me though. :)

This isn't a cry for someone to give me a link to the game's store page though either as that would have taken me far less effort than writing this note. My goal here is to make GOG aware of the fact that the current Insomnia not linking to store pages is irritating regardless of why it is done that way.
^ THIS! Thought the same just a few minutes ago while recognizing that clicking on a game (Galak-Z) leads directly to the checkout instead to the gamecard page... GOG that's shit. Fix that!
Picked up Runestone Keeper. Some people say it's too RNG focused. Aslong as it bridges the 20 days till Dark Souls 3 comes out I'm fine with that. ^^

TwistedFate.385: I think he was helped by the coming up sign, too. Olli Olli 2 is the only sports title in the mix.
