Yeah, but why reference gamergate of all things. I'm apparently a goober gaber but Gamergate's the last fucking thing i want to hear about while playing some fantasy D&D, it's even worse than the Prison School anime fiasco.

They are just making their boogeyman stronger by keeping the spotlight on it, and triggering themselves while doing it. Gamergate could've been over months ago but instead of letting the shitpile steam down at this point they add a fresh turd on their own on it.

It just strikes me as very petulant and unprofessional. The sheer amount of smug, passive-aggressive condescension from this single instance is almost enough to ruin whatever good will I may have initially had for this product before I actually bought it. And not only that, the line is also extremely jarring, out-of-place for the established setting (subtle and appropriate pop-culture references and quotations are one thing, but this kind of memery?) and will almost surely date the product within a few short years.

Like I said, I already bought it and have no intention of pressuring the publishers to change what I don't like about it. Had I knew of this in advance, I probably wouldn't have made the purchase in the first place

That too, but I mean it's not like GG has had any real objectives these last months, I mean there's the occasional complaning about censored games like FE:Fates , or the rejoicing at the Hulkster kicking gawker's shit in. but overall GG is just scraping by salt mining right now.
