Yes, as long as that game was treated neutrally I would be fine. Here is the thing: I despise abominations like walking simulators and other "feel games", but I don't mind them existing. What I do mind however is this constant pushing of them and guilt-tripping people into buying it, like it's some sort of enlightenment. If an Anita game were released and given the same neutral criticism as any other game, it would crash and burn without mercy in the market.

I remember when Metroid: Other M was about to be released, every Nintendo fanboy, i.e. people who are fans of the company and not the games, was getting really giddy about it. Now they too would be having a shiny cinematic game like the PlayStation kids of who they had been making fun until then for playing cinematic games.

I was telling them that Metroid was heading for a disaster, that it would kill the series. But they were like "but what will you do when it does sell, huh, huh?". Guess what? A few months after launch you could already find it in the discount bin for 10€ next to 3rd party shovel ware and the series has beed dead since.

My point is, I don't need any game creators to be driven out, just level the playing field and they will destroy themselves. Whom we do need to drive out are the people who keep skewing any discussion and misrepresent facts. And I think that is something everyone can agree with.

Part of the motivation to turn people into a "product" is to make people less individualistic . If people are less individualistic they are more predictable. Predictability makes it easier and more cost effective to both devise and sell consumer goods to them. It also makes it easier to sell ideas. Any ideology that pushes the suppression and eradication of certain human characteristics narrows down the variables of the "human resources" (horrible, horrible term), thus making them more predicable and cheaper to manage as consumers. This is were the extremism of neofeminism comes in and why it has been embraced by the corporate world - for the complete and utterly banal objective of profit (not anti-profit but its hardly the lofty goal the pretentions of neofems claim to represent).

By narrowing down the percieved wants and needs of consumers, it becomes cheaper and easier to provide products. By way of example, in the case of gaming, a simplified scenario may consist of the ultimate goal being to have desexed, blanded down, dumbed down games for a desexed, blanded down, dumbed down population to mindlessly consume. I'm not suggesting dark, smoke filled rooms with obscenely wealthy miscreants fiendishly planning the whole thing. This example is brief and simplified, but if you think about it, it does illustrate how the oppresive agenda of neofems and corporatism have tended to dovetail so far. However, voting with our dollars is still the best way to ensure this situation changes sooner rather than later.

Out of curiosity, I rechecked ZQ's Patreon and it's now over 4.000$ per month.... and like the DragonballZ meme, Jim Sterling is over 9.000.... BTW, I was at the VAT office this morning and they were quite interested by the patreon case.....

You are right, generalization is definitely a thing of GG that the other side "seldomly" do :); and it's definetly not a case of : "I have seen some guys on the other side using "we" so I decided that all of them do and here is why... (of course I totally miss all those on my side who also uses "we" but let's taks about that).

Most, if not all, your arguments could also be used on the "Anti-GGs"; it's also a very diverse group from pseudo-celebrity to obscure indy devs, lots of them who had very little (if not none at all) interests in gaming before, using GG to push their own agenda forward while demonizing peoples who think differently or disagree with them. (sometime even members of their own side)

It seems like GoG is replacing the defaults, probably part of the merge with the CD Projekt Red forum. The spam bots are getting similar icons, though the colors differ from account to account.
