Warloch_Ahead: You'd think if the porn industry wanted to get into video games with more lax rules these days, they'd probably make decently budgeted FMV games that, you know, actually take advantage of being video games
Screw FMV - I want RPG! Instead of your typical classes, you'd have like "Plumber," "Pizza Delivery Guy," "Sexy Cop..."

Class specific dialogue tree:

*Knock knock*
"I'm here with your pizza"

"But I didn't order a pizza"

Ironic that many GoG users don't mind terrorist simulators like Tonight We Riot on the storefront but games with attractive women in them are obscene and go to far.

I mean, it can still have the jerk off pauses, but the game has to be the main focus.

CyberBobber: Porn industry has lots of games, dildos, all kind of machines already.

I say no to porn but I hope CDPR keeps doing sex scenes. And add hot Girls.
avatar
Betalord: I fully agree with this statement. I was just suggested "Being a DIK" game via GOG's newsletter, which turns out to be a pornographic game. I can see GOG going down a dark tunnel with this decision, I don't like the direction it is taking at all and believe it will end bad for GOG going down this road of offering pornographic content.
avatar
CyberBobber: GoG is already in dark tunnel. Competition is rough as hell. I bet steam gets 100 new customer when gog gets 1 or so. Thats very optimistic already.

Pay Per Hour might work for GoG.
The thing is you can't just say "no to porn" as in you have the ability to prevent adult games coming here with one decision made by one single person. Also, "more sex scenes and hot girls?" Maybe your English isn't so good, but you're saying hot girls and sex scenes, but no porn. You want pornographic sex scenes, but no porn scenes? What?

GOG is not in some dark tunnel. They're doing better than they have been as of late and finally might be turning a real profit. Also The Witcher 4 is in production now and that game will probably make bank for them. We can look at old sales and see where they screwed up, but they have obviously gotten Warner Bros back on board and we got an LOTR game released without the DRM for the first time I think I've ever seen. One adult game or two means nothing.

No, this guy has never played Treasures Of Nadia then. It's an adventure game. FMV isn't a thing anymore except for some retro throwbacks like Immortal. The adult industry doesn't care about that. They're not into gaming. House Party, like we sell here is a game with sex scenes. Some of you fellas might be dating yourselves a bit when it comes to the porn industry. Interactive FMV isn't a seller for them anymore, they would rather do POV videos and make money from the clicks. Oh and those stupid sex game apps. "You won't last five minutes playing this game."

The only people making adult games right now are those not in the adult industry, if that makes any sense.

TheGrimLord: I can assure you that with the tens of billions of traffic that pornhub used to get, people are not so insecure when it comes to adult material. And I can show you more than enough articles where casual murder had been committed by both men and women. Yep, sometimes out of the blue. Some people even get off to murder. A guy hired a young dominatrix who stabbed him to death in his childhood treehouse when they were having sex. She felt no pain or remorse. I can guarantee you that if murder had been a legal act, what you are saying about most people not wanting to commit it, would be absolutely false.

Sex, unlike murder is legal and I think that's what it all boils down to. We constantly kill in these games, because it's really the only legal way a person can take lives and never be held responsible for it. Also, you may be able to point a gun at a man in a video game and shoot him, but most people wouldn't have the guts to do it in real life, even though it happens all the time in my area. Young men are shooting each other over women. That kind of silliness.
Maybe, as I said I didn't do any research beforehand but I'm guessing you didn't either.

Of course shit like this happens, but it doesn't happen as much as you pretend it does. Well, at least not here where I live, I don't know where you live so I won't speak for you.

Still I think you are talking about borderline situations. Majority of people aren't as fucked up as you make it sound. You hear about it, sure, but those are isolated situations. In general people would rather fantasize about sex than murdering someone, and that's also why they are insecure about it, because it's so much closer to their experience.

It can still be an RPG, the FMV is so it's real actual people having fake sex instead of weirdly uncanny graphics imitating sex acts.

Actually, now I want to see a full-fledged CRPG with real people graphics and porn in it.

They're not insecure. I've been in servers for both western adult games and ero games. The people are generally very cool in there. Most newbies just ask for recommends. They'll tell you what they want or don't want. I've never seen people freaking out. In fact, more people let their freak flags fly and tell you their deepest fetishes there than you might imagine. I'm not into the whole LGBTQ sandwich, but I will say that there are a lot of those people there. I was looked down at by some for being a cisgender straight male. So yeah, no one in these sex based communities are insecure or upset about the adult games they purchase.

Well of course those people aren't insecure about ero games when they are already in the market for those. I'm talking about people here on this forum for example, who happen to have a problem with ero games being released on GOG in ever increasing numbers.

To be absolutely clear I don't have a problem with erotic games as long as it's not going into "hardcore" direction, in which case it would be better if GOG made separate site for it.

They're working on that. What you want is a game on Steam called Carnal Instinct. It's still in early access, but you can buy it right now to test it out.

I mentioned this when they first started adding adult games years ago. GOG simply do not care. So you can tell me all you want, who you need to be talking to is them, with this same beaten to death horse that has been discussed over and over again. If GOG cared about making a separate site for their adult games, they would have done it well over a year ago. They don't. Complain as much as you like, no one is listening over there and nothing is getting done. I think the reason for this is because they would have to take a lot of their LGBTQ content and also put it there, which would prevent those people from accessing it as easily as they would like.

Not what I'm talking about. I mean FMV cutscenes with real actors, sprites made from real models. And also they're fucking.
Then make it yourself. So many people complain about games they want, but then there are those who actually make them. The western adult scene is kinda exploding, but we are only getting so few here on GOG due to their curation. Most of these games started out just like that. "I want a porn game with..." and there you go. That's how we got Slimegal Smoothies and Shady Lewd Kart (Hentai Mario Kart).

I'm pretty sure "ero game" is normally taken as hardcore. Unless hardcore now means something else. I Don't think they need a seperate site for it.

Well of course, there's a reason for there being a rule for it, rule 34. There's porn made about everything and anything, if one looks hard enough.

Not necessarily, for example I wouldn't consider Subverse to be "hardcore", while I would consider hentai blowjob games to be too "hardcore" for GOG.

Subverse a pornographical game?.
i seen cartoons that's even more hardcore then this game

to be honest they should just keep making movies at least something good comes out of there hands.

Sure, lemme just code up a game and hire adult models and a filming crew to make this dream come true. I'm sure that's well within a one-man indie project budget.

There was a team doing that on itch.io. But they were going for the VR market, which is becoming a bigger market for these games than the PC.

No sir. In fact, ero just means that the game has more than one erotic scene and these can be very light and vanilla scenes. The hardcore eroge market is something called darkge. We have only a handful of darkge here. It's also ridiculous for them to mskhe another site as there are umpteen million places a user can buy hardcore ero games. It wouldn't benefit GOG at all just to create another one of those. They should just add the filters like Steam does so people will be happy and quit complaining. And if you think a blowjob counts as hardcore sex, I don't know what to tell you. That's pretty damn basic by most standards.
