darthspudius: Didn't they have the first spin off after the original movie? Kind of makes your complaint abit silly.

You can't go wrong with Ewoks.

I highly question that haha, return of the jedi is my least favourite Star Wars movie.

I love them. They're like little mini adolescent Chewbaccas. :)

Oh don't get me wrong, they're absolutely adorable haha but they're feckin scary little fuckers when you actually think about what they did to those stormtroopers.

Breja: The CGI is crap however, really cringe worthy.
I really liked the CGI series... I mean the models were simplistic, but once you got past that a few episodes in it felt like they struck a good balance of story vs graphics vs production quality; Although i'm not sure if it was telling an actual story or if it was just a random collection of short skits based in that particular time in the Star Wars universe between movies... In many ways i thought they were better than the third movie (Revenge of the Sith).

Badass is what they are. Goes with being a bit like Chewbacca. ;)

The CGI Clone Wars looked ok, though I did not like the series much. The crap CGI remark was supposed to be about the animation quality in the new Rebels series, which for some reason looks much worse.

Hmmm curiously most of those are written by Greg Weisman who wrote the original Gargoyles series... Which means i'll be biased most likely....

But i haven't seen them yet... Still it feels just a little like Disney is doing the exact same thing WotC did with D&D, pushing out a new product in order to make a profit on their investment as soon as possible.

I just think the CGI series is inferior compared to the 2003 mini series which actually made the prequals look good:

SpringPower: Episodes 4 - 6 were great, with 4&5 the best. 1 -3 were horrible. Just plain horrible, with 3 not being that bad.

As for the teaser trailer....seemed like there was more darkness than clips, and the when it was shown, not much was shown at all.

The graphics look good; however, that is not unexpected, given Disney has been known to spend hundreds of millions in a movie.

The one thing I can not figure out...why a December release? Why break tradition?

Still not sure if I would see it, as the prequels were painful. I may wait a few weeks to get a sense if it is worth it or not.
"Graphics". That's perfectly telling of the current generation's views on the quality of new media.

Esputi: ...but after they made the new movies, they just flodded the world with tv shows and what not. Even if they say some are good, I wish they would just have let it be with the 3 original ones. ...

mistermumbles: You do realize them milking the Star Wars brand has been a thing since the very first movie. Just think of all the toys and the like. Good old fashioned capitalism, that's all.
Im fine with the toys and merchandise. I was referring to televised stuff. I remember that most of the toys, if not all, were just about the 3 movies and there was no story attached to them. I was 12 years old when episode 1 (the new episode 1) came out and before that, television wise, there was pretty much nothing besides the 3 originals (and the ewok one i forgot)

I have been watching that show with the kids and it's been pretty good so far. Maybe you should not be watching childrens cartoons if the quality really bothers you.
