Abovet: Star Wars movies that I know will leave us satisfied with what we watched, and give us another story plot on the next movie installment, which still somehow relates with the story plot from the previous episodes.
Breja: Seeing how we've got a whole trilogy ahead, plus the anthology movies, and Ii'll bet sure that's not going to be the end of it, I'm pretty sure they'll be sequel baiting HARD. I just hope it won't be like the Marvel movies, where they tend to end up as little more than very long trailer for the next few movies.
Anyway, I'm seeing, both online and among my own friends, that Disney has succeeded in making people excited and optimistic about this movie. I guess people just really want to be excited for some things, no matter what experience tells them, and it's not that hard to give them enough of a reason.
But I was there. At the Gates of Episode I. I saw Star Wars fly into the jaws of the Nightmare Child. The Horde of Travesties. Jar Jar with his army of midichlorians.
I remember. And you're going to have to work a hell of a lot harder to convince me.
I can't agree more with you. To be honest, I got quite excited when the female character said that there were stories about what happened in the trailer, but that's just me. Getting goosebumps from sentences has grown to be quite a habit for me. I even thought J.J. Abrams had something great in mind for this movie.
And I know this may not be related to what this thread is discussing about, but watching the new Star Wars sequel during the Galactic Empire era (trailer) with all these advanced CGIs and visual effects just doesn't feel the same way as I how I used to watch Star Wars Episode 4-6. My brain is somewhat having a hard time adapting to the new movie.
For me, the right pairs would be as the following:
-Star Wars before the Empire colonization = Advanced CGI effects
-Star Wars during the Empire colonization = Old CGI effects
(But thats just me. My opinion would differ from the others)
