Are you coming or going?Decisions decisions not good for that EGO.

HunchBluntley: Having low rep doesn't mean they don't visit or buy from GOG often, it means they don't come into or use the forums very much. ;)
Was visiting the forums one of the requirements for getting more rep (I also know you get extra for writing messages, or getting replies to your messages, or your message being marked as a solution to a question, or people uprepping your message...).

So you don't get any rep at all if you merely log in and visit the GOG.com main page? You actually have to click the "community" tab after that?

Ps. If I was the head of GOG Ltd, I'd change the system so that buying a GOG game gives you gazillion rep points! Yeah baby yeah! It is odd this is not the case, a bit like in Team Fortress 2 you don't get any points at all for capturing the enemy intel. That shit just doesn't make sense, you get points for completely different things like just running around killing enemies, not caring for actual objectives of the game.

If you'd get 100 points for capturing enemy intel, hell people would suddenly start caring for objectives more! Or buying GOG games, people would buy more GOG games just to get more rep. Capital investment man, you steal money to make more money.

You don't gain any rep by simply visiting any part of the site (forums included) -- you have to make a forum post (1 point for every day in which you make at least one post), get marked as the answer to a question topic (5 points, I think), or have a post that gets "uprated" by a sufficient number of people (I don't know how many points that's good for, over what period of time, or how many users have to "+" a post for it to happen). I'm pretty sure that's it -- unless, unbeknownst to me, people rating a user review on a product's store page as "helpful" also increases the reviewer's rep...but I doubt the site devs bothered tying those two things together.

Don't worry, that use of the word 'free' by GOG did not go unnoticed by me.... i certainly did pay close attention to it when i first found this site..... "what is this DRM-FREE? probably bullshxx, i better be careful here" :)

ryanxoxo: HELP!!! :(
If you have a certain amount of credit card purchases on your account under your name, don't worry too much about it.

Even if someone hijacks your account, your purchase history will speak volumes about who really owns it. Might have to go through some hassle to prove you are you at that point, but bottom line is that you'll recover your account.

Mind you, I'm not saying you shouldn't make it hard for someone to hijack your account (a strong password per website for each important website you frequent is always warranted as is always login in from a clean/safe computer), but if it happens, you have that as a resort to recover your account.

People having used the same email (and maybe even password) on some other sites that have been breached or were of dubious nature to begin with, most probably.
