BUT

he already needs to have my password, to even send the 2-step-authentificator to my mail...

What can i do????

I already filed a support ticket to gog.com.
but my biggest problem is that i dunno my password here off-hand.. i just got it saved into my chrome password save... so i also dunno if i use the password from here on other site, still this is the only case of someone trying to get my account, i'm dealing with right now... no other suspicious activities, at least right now, this happened 30 minutes ago...

The best course of action is to change your password, but since you dont remember it, that is a bit of a problem.
Suggested to change your password.

Weak passwords and cross-site passwords are the easiest way to get your passwords broken in.

If you dont remember, RESET it, logout of GOG and when you click log in again, a "reset password" option should be available.

Also run malware and spyware checks on your computer and change any similar or same passwords you have for any other sites you have.

Try to have a different password for every site you use and if you dont remember them WRITE them down on a piece of paper.

i can remember that gog.com has some special requirements for passwords than other sites, like.. not only capitalization and numbers in pw, but also requires to put a punctuation mark in pw.. am i right?? i'm totally not sure, but if someone knows about that, it helps for me to remember my password

I personally (as in this a matter of opinion not fact) recommend MalywareBytes Here You can run it as a 14 day trial that has some extra features or in free mode that just lacks custom scanning and setting a scheduled scan and auto-updates (you have to manually update) but is perfectly workable in free mode

My Second choice is spybot search and destroy at Here

Others can suggest programs they trust and use, I use MalwareBytes more then Spybot.

I used to work tech support so I would frequently recommend software like this.
avatar
ryanxoxo: i just got it saved into my chrome password save...
Go to chrome://settings/passwords and find the gog site. Click on the entry in the list, click the show button in the password field. If your OS account has a password, type said password in the popup. The web password will be shown.
Similar methods also exist for other browsers as well. Yes, that does mean that if you are left on someone else's computer you may be able to see their passwords.

Lord_Kane: they dont
Even if they did most people instinctively will still use words that are common.

password: sex

Require a uppercase character? Probably first character -> Sex
Require a number? Add a 1 to the end -> Sex1
Require punctuation? Maybe Leetspeak or append it to the end -> Sex1!

I've said to use two unrelated things (or 3) interlace them and then memorize how to write it. Like.. oh I don't know...

babyfood and handlotion. So becomes: hbaanbdylfootoidon, have a third item say sodacan, then it becomes hbsaaonbddyalfcooatonidon. Complete nonsense that you can rebuild if you had to from scratch. After you type it in 20 times you'll memorize it and get faster at it. Hell i have complex passwords that are 16 characters long, still haven't had any issues.

Other password suggestions if they don't limit the length, is to use a code phrase. A phrase from a book, an inside joke, multiple random words, just type it out normally, even states of the united states. 'Steve is good for the blood' (from a song I remember hearing) would be an excellent password... well not anymore, but you get the idea. Add special punctuation in the middle of one or two of the words and it's even harder to brute force.

Buy Kaspersky Internet Security.
To fight the best hackers you need best tools, Russian tools.

Trust me, i'm Russian. ;)

Which is fine until you have passwords for 20 different sites, and it becomes impossible to remember them all. Hell, I have a rotating list of six passwords that I use for different sites, but I always forget which password I've used for which site, and have regularly had to stumble through captchas and account lock-outs due to entering the wrong password three times.
