djdarko: Unfortunate, this would have been the perfect time to release them here. Do we have anything by 2K Games yet?

Darvond: Isn't Borderlands where terms such as "Bullet Sponge" and other such negative terms were coined?
And other such negative things such as the insufferably cheeky/self-aware writing that tries to appear far more clever than it is? (Just because you joke about a bad game mechanic, doesn't fix the bad game mechanic.)
Here's an article from 2005 (4 years before Borderlands was released) with the term "bullet sponge". I think I first remember hearing the term more than 20 years ago as being similar to "cannon fodder". Hmm. A real life application, fair enough. But it doesn't seem to be in quite the same context.https://www.stripes.com/news/shot-twice-in-a-week-marine-dubbed-lucky-1.40109

I think Claptrap is still one of the funniest sidekick/NPC ever created in a game. And I'm not trolling. So, whoever never understood claptrap's value needs to get checked by a shrink. ^_^

The term seems to have been adopted from the Marines... maybe some of the early users were in the corps?
As for Borderlands: Even a "soon" announcement from GOG would make me happy. So long as there is save compatibility. I'm 15 hours into Borderlands 2 and don't really feel like replaying it.

Loved the first one and looking forward to playing the Remaster and liked number two and haven't played the Pre Sequel yet. I'm looking forward to the third one but no way will I buy it via a store that works with the Chinese government (Tencent). So I will either get it on PS4 or wait for a Steam release with a discount.

I actually really enjoyed the first two, less so the "presequel," but after seeing all the snarky comments from the Gearbox CEO... he's really turned me off of Borderlands 3.
I'd much rather support GOG here versus the "Epic" store. [Bleah!] I'll buy it later. Or never. :)
Cyberpunk 2077 is coming. :D

I would LOVE to see a Borderlands 3 here on gog.
I wont support epic. I wont support epic's EAC on a singleplayer game (nor any game, really. Steams VAC was fine, but EAC does just what epic did: Steals your info, and more importantly it replaces some Windoes files with its own, which does who knows what).
I also wont support any 'Exclusives', so I wont get the game on steam, as an afterthought to actual game players.
The only way I will buy the game is if its stripped of Denuvo, EAC, epic launcher, and if its here on GOG.
I agree'd with someone elses opinions on page 2 (sorry, forgot name) about BL1, Bl2, and BL:TPS
BL1 was a tremendous leap at the time, of introducing rpg elements into a pure shooter, and they did it very well. It was funny, it was immersive (even with the cartoony looks), it was MUCH longer than almost any FPS game to that point, so the rpg really added to making the gameplay not so monotonous (nowadays it wouldnt be that way to new players, but back then it was), it had a funny sidekick (instead of the boring sidekicks of the day that blocked your way forward, and grunted 'sorry' and 'excuse me' to no avail. The exploration was SO fun. The gameplay was SO balanced (in my opinion, one of the best balanced game ever). BL1 was a very innovative and super fun game back then.
BL2 they messed with the formula, and dropped the gun amounts and raised the grenade amounts, because they basically made it an arena boss battle game, with some gameplay in-between those mini bosses and major boss arena area's. The humor went down the tubes to 12 year old potty humor. The gameplay wasnt as good (unless you liked arena shooters with big bosses to fight, which was basically how consoles did shooters, because they could only handle so much on-screen at a time). The Keyboard and mouse were wonky, and you really had to dig into the cfg files to get shooting to feel right (like the 1st game). I thought it was so much less of a game the BL1, but it was still 'fun'.
BL:TPS was a joke. But, every fan wanted to go to the moon. That was IT for Borderlands: Gameplay on the moon1?!?! Heck YES!!!! But, it turned out to be a console game (WAY more than 2 was), and they could only do a few enemies outside at a time, with little tiny areas of 5-10 enemies, then a straight line you had to follow to the next little pocket of enemies with no deviation of where you could go w/o dying. It had NO exploration. It was an on-rails game. Nothing was funny. It was TEDIOUS just trying to finish the game. The inside areas were remaniscent of BL1 and 2, but were just so badly done, what with the moon atmoshphere and all (do you like jumping from area to area to area to area, only to miss the LONG jump at the end, and not be able to save the game at just before the LONG jump, and have to redo every single jump all over again until you finally get it right? Then TPS is the game for you). Sadly, the game was just not fun at all.
Borderlands 1 Remastered: This one is a very hard one for me to review. I LOVED BL1 the original. I was so hyped for the remaster, so I didnt have to have macro's just to have the fov I wanted, or the screen resolution I wanted. And I got it! BUT, I also got BL2 and TPS in my beloved BL1 Enhanced Edition. Yep, they messed the game up. They put in Golden Boxes (which pretty much makes exploration and finding those few boxes way on the edge of nothingness that you spent an hour finding, MEANINGLESS. They put in BL:TPS moon atmosphere (OR, they imported BL1 into the new engine for TPS or BL3, and tweaked it to mimic BL1). What does this mean? You can kill ANYONE in an instant if you jump in the air and shoot down on the enemy. But, if you shoot from the ground, the bullets barely take off any damage at all. NOT good, and not a good sign for BL3. Also, they seemed to have implimented an 'if your guns are too strong, and you are overpowered, EVERY mission until you get to one that is 'Hard' or 'Rough' or 'Impossible' automatically goes to FINISHED (with the exception of mini bosses or bosses). I got a few weapons early on, and a REALLY good shield, and almost every single mission was 'Trivial'. And this was only a few hours in. From that few hours until I started the End Game, and the DLC's, EVERY mission was marked as Trivial. See, they messed with the gun formula's. I get a drop of a MASTER level gun at the startings of the game (orange is it? It goes White, Green, Blue, Purple, Yellowish, then Orangish. Orangish I dont remember being in BL1 before, but its the Master level guns in Enhanced Edition, then a shield that I shouldnt be able to get until level 50, and then a gun that is Master level, and thats it, the game is SO easy, and every mission is Trivial from then on. And, you get a Master drop from even tiny mini boss type enemies, like when you go to a new area and you encounter a new enemy, that new enemy will drop a Master level gun for you, no matter if he is a boss or not (some areas give multiple Master level guns). Thats why I dont think BL3 will be any good, because they already had a GREAT loot drop in BL1, that was leveled with the gameplay, and they just keep messing with it and messing with it until it is rediculously stupid, and no longer matches the gameplay.
If they cant even do a Remaster of THE best game they had, then what makes me think that BL3 will be any good?
Dont get me wrong, I still want to play it, but on MY terms, not on epic's terms, or randy prickford's terms, or even on Steam's terms (because that WILL have Denuvo AND EAC, and maybe even the epic launcher (which will NEVER grace my computer's hard drives), and that is a dealbreaker for me).
So, YES I want the game on GOG. If not, they lost a few sales (my 2 buddies wont have that garbage installed either). If not on GOG, then no sale.
