CuCuJambo, I'd like to see your picture in context with the rest of your desktop (a full screen-capture), rather than just a cropped pic of the game section.

I like threads like this and being able to get a little insight into other people's modes of operation/how they do things.

I can't stand anything being on my desktop. I like the be able to see the calm of my background.

I have almost every single game that I own installed (over 200) unless: I've beaten it and am not going to ever replay it, or it is a GB-heavy sequel that I've not yet beaten the predecessor(s) to. The games that I'm currently focused on playing (though, some have back-burner status while others are in a more active play-state) as well as a few all-time favorites reside in my start menu for quick-access, and the rest are in alphabetical order in my programs>GOG folder.

Shelter I almost beat and then stopped playing because I was waiting for my partner to beat first.

Overseer I'm a few days into but am finding it sucking and hard to get through, though I require myself to do so before moving on to Tesla Effect which I'm excited for.

Shadowrun Returns I'm 75% of the way through but then I got distracted by other things in life and haven't gotten back to it. I realized after putting a bunch of hours into Gothic that I should finish Shadowrun Returns before I get too immersed in Gothic so I don't forget what's going on/what I'm doing (if that happens it will be hard for me to get back to because no way am I replaying what I've already played and I hate trying to figure out wtf I was doing in a game after leaving it for a while.) So Shadowrun will likely be the next game I complete.

FTL and Tales of Maj'Eyal are currently in "forever-play" status.

TLJ, Torment, and Fallout 1 are all there to be replayed when I get a chance. Inquisitor I had to start over because of a bug and is currently back-burner status until after I finish Gothic. These are all-time favorites and Gothic will probably join them in the "forever installed+someday replay" group.

I still haven't finished W2 and once W2 DC gets another patch I will start it and play them along side each other with the same characters + group build but with some tweaks. I look forward to switching back and forth between them as I go through them to really experience the differences.

awalterj: Uncluttered environment -> uncluttered mind, not magically and automatically but I find it helps a little bit.
I believe this to be absolutely true. As crowded as my HDs are, I have them insanely organized. I have 2 HDs with multiple partitions. C: partition is exclusively for the OS+drivers. D: partition is games. H: partition is DLed movies. G: partition is DVD-rips and other media (music+pictures.) E: partition is for software that interacts with the internet (skype, utorrent, zune player, etc.) and where I DL things to. F: partition is software that stands alone (word, celtx, VLC, alcohol120, etc.) B: partition is overflow, meant to be for our KORG microsampler, but currently holding game installers and some movies that I couldn't fit elsewhere.

As you can see I'm practically full, and this bothers me because I'd like more space (can't rip any DVDs or DL/install more games atm), but at least it's organized.

nightcraw1er.488: I am an organisation freak. I have nothing installed on the main machine unless I am going to use it. Currently there is nothing on there as I am playing God Of War set on PS3. I have seen people at work whose whole desktop is covered in documents shortcuts, folders etc. It brings me out in sweats.

For now I will say only this: I am amazed. (and some face with big round eyes and an open jaw, down all the way to the China would fit here)

Ok, so there's my desktop. I usually like it to be more or less clean, so I keep on top only those things that I am using often and now. Other things are grouped in the folders and then grouped in other folders. I have 4 games on my desktop, because I am playing those right now. PokerStars excluded - it's not the kind of game we need in this topic.
- LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean is an awesome LEGO game for me. I like pirates, I like these pirates, I like LEGO - I love this game. Playing it from time to time for a bit to take my mind off things.
- L.A. Noire. Started recently, after I was able to download some updates. Game is awesome. I love how detailed it is and all that vintage atmosphere gives me shivers.
- The Witcher. It is one of a select few games that I get back to again and again. Recently I witnessed the beginning of The Witcher 3 and sort of played through the tutorial. It was amazing. But until I play the game myself for myself, I want to finish The Witcher once again (that would be 4th time to finish the game and a 9th time to start it), import the save to The Witcher 2, finish that and then import the fresh save into The Witcher 3. That's my plan.
- Layers of Fear. It's pretty hard (for me) to find a really horrific game. But I found this one to be both pretty and psychologically horrific. I am somewhere 2/7 through the game right now and I enjoyed every moment in it.

As for my other games... Well, those are that I also play from time to time, but not so often anymore. I like Dishonored the best. Played Treasure Adventure Game a few days ago. What I don't understand, is where did the icons go of them few games?!

Edit- I only have two icons- Computer and home

Heres my comic collection and for most folders there are sub folders in there. Also note that other then Scott Pilgrim, all the comics are complete or up to date!

*heart attack*

No, please just no!
I've got 12 icons max on my desktop, neatly arranged in two rows on the left side, only 3 icons if I tidied up again.

Here it is in it's currently rather messy state:

Emachine9643: How did you get your image to fit? Mines says its too big
I've told Gimp to save it as jpg with 75% quality, this way it was under 500kb.
At the top right is a group with two versions of AGS for Android, which I used for playing Blackwell 4 and 5 (neither version of AGS was perfect) and ScummVM, which has The Dig installed. I'm part way through that. I plan to play more AGS games, such as Resonance which I bought on GOG not long ago, although there's a newer version of AGS which I plan to install (which includes a Steam stub, which will allow me to play Heroine's Quest).

I'm near the beginning of Bard's Tale, got to a bugbear cave and it killed me several times, didn't continue from that point.

Sorcery! 2: I enjoyed playing 1 and played some of 2 but got distracted.

KOTOR: Still on Dantooine. Got to a place where I want to explore different results but it's too difficult.

Inner World: installed for future play. When my SD card malfunctioned I thought I copied all stuff off it, but I guess this was in a part that was damaged, which is why it's greyed out.

Syberia 2: The main game I'm playing now. I imagine I'm near the end. I need to leave the Youkol village.

Eclipse of Illusion: I installed this game to play with my kids. Played one long session and haven't played since, but my daughter did say that she'd like to continue.

Word To Word: An enjoyable word association game, which I play when I'm too tired to do play something else or read.

Spy Fox in Dry Cereal: I need to continue it.

Fleece Lightning: Was dirt cheap and my wife likes Shaun the Sheep so I bought it and played it a bit, she played it a bit, my daughter played it a bit, and that's it.

Tomb Raider II: $1 isn't a lot to pay for nostalgia, and the app has high resolution textures which weren't in the original game, and that's cool. I played it a little but no chance I'll finish it. It was difficult for me with a keyboard, and touch doesn't make it easier.

To Be Or Not To Be: I have it as an e-book, and liked it, but it wasn't easy to play it that way, so I bought the app on sale. Haven't started it yet.

Hunter65536: I hate having too many shortcuts on Desktop
Same for me. The nice thing about GOG games is that you can create one shortcut to "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\GOG.com", and you will always find all your installed GOG games neatly under it, including manuals, any configuration utilities etc., the same ones you find under the Start menu.

Hence, I tell GOG installers never to install desktop shortcuts itself. Less clutter, only one shortcut on my desktop for all my GOG games.

However, when I used Windows 10, I couldn't figure out how to achieve the same as the Start menu doesn't work quite similarly there, so in Windows 10 I had to tell GOG installers to create the desktop shortcuts, and I'd manually move all the shortcuts into one common GOG folder. Almost the same I guess, albeit not getting the manual or config utility links.

haha! What amazes you specifically? My partitions? That I'm playing so many games at once? Orrr? Just curious! Glad to have amazed you, I think!

I'm a Linux user.

I'd like my desktop clean, so no games' shortcuts on it. I have enough games though!
Here is a screenshot of my desktop, showing only GOG games in terminal on the right.

Well I had to reinstall Windows a few weeks ago. So I only have a couple of games on my desktop which are basically just my "to play" list.
So now I have;
Dead State - which I am trying to like, but I am really struggling. The combat is just irritating, either turn-based or real-time, not both!
Blackguards 1 & 2, Hand of Fate, Hector Badge of Carnage and Hot Tin Roof - The Cat That Wore A Fedora - are all waiting to be played.
HuniePop and Mini Metro are still there as time sinks as is Spider Solitaire.

I did have all the games I had played this year in a "finished" folder, but that was removed from the desktop with the reinstall.
