Small update:

We've submitted the game to GOG a while ago. Their automated email states that, if we don't hear back from them within 2 weeks, it's safe to assume they decided to pass on it. I do think it's a bit sloppy and unprofessional to not at least inform developers about their games being declined, but I guess that's just how it is.

I'll give it another week, then I'll just be cocky and re-submit it!

Don't get us long-time GOG users started on how they do what they do... it's like hearing a boomer complain about his marriage :P.

There have been cases of games ignored by GOG that have been released here after forum noise and/or success on other platforms, so the night is not that dark and full of terrors. But I hope they will notice it on your first try :).

P.S.: To all GOG users: have you voted for the game? If not, now's the time: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/selaco

It would be utterly bizarre for GOG to say "yes" to the GZDoom engine based Hedon but "no" to this given the interest in this thread and the fact Selaco has 3x more wishlist votes. Best of luck Wesley!

I can't see why they would say no. It's a dead cert with an audience already there. Boomer shooter is all over it, E1M1 magazine is all over it. If they rejected it I honestly have no clue what the reasoning could be beyond their lack of understanding of FPS these days.

Fingers crossed for you man, I'm hyped for the game and hope it gets into the hands as many people as possible!

Having seen quite a few similar comments from other devs (for Realms of Antiquity, Riddle of the Sphinx: An Egyptian Adventure, among others) still waiting for a response from GoG since the end of last year I think it's safe to assume that they're still swamped and/or working VERY slowly through what must be a considerable backlog. In the process submissions are more likely to get undeliberately overlooked or prioritised way down the list of the respective submitters to get back to, so re-submitting's probably the way to go.
Or you wait it out until GoG eventually gets back to you.

Which I'd recommend the other devs - in the unlikely case they're reading this - to do as well.

It's almost 2 weeks (minus 1 or 2 days).

Not replying to developers about game submission status is unacceptable. Previously they provided answers to some indie studios stating something like "your game is too niche". Either they realized that such a reply is lacking on so many levels or COVID-19 is a good reason to cut their stuff in half, or even both, but not providing ANY reply is even worse!
Rejecting Selaco game after Hedon and Viscerafest (not saying they have the same engine but similar gameplay) would be preposterous!
Yeah, I voted for that game on GOG and I'm ready to be part of *angry mob* creating some noise about another missing game, but if GOG so want me to buy it on Steam so be it. Who am I to teach them how to do their business after all.

A bump to alert the GOG moderators that their "curation" guy who handles new game acquisitions appears to have fallen asleep. Wake him up and get him to approve this game will you?
I believe that 2 weeks were passed and it's safe to assume that GOG silently rejected the game for various reasons: lack of interest, complete ignore by mistake (e.g. the person who was responsible of processing the applicant request had insane personal issues, the person read planned date "August 25th, 2255" as a joke and put it to spam, there was no person at all to process it due to lack of human resources, COVID-19 infected major part of staff so they had to relocate remaining personnel to more pressing matters, the responsible person have peculiar taste for games and/or strong dislike for GZDoom games, the person was paid handsomely by a 3rd party to reject the game in favor of Steam release), a misunderstanding, other.

Please let us know the soon you re-apply your game to GOG.
Message to the GoG intern they ordered to go through this thread:
Yes, we'd love to see this game on GoG. The game is DRM-free, done in a FOSS engine, coming to multiple OS-es.

The audience is here, we're just waiting for it's release, and hopefully it releases on GoG!

KetobaK: This is another great one called Solace Dreams, here is the trailer:

And here a weapons showcase:

You can download the game demo here.
Wishlist entry if anyone's interested (just created it): https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/solace_dreams
The developer also has a Discord group, and the game works pretty much anywhere that can run GZDoom.

thraxman: Its strange to see what is a truly antiquated piece of software like the Doom engine is still getting new titles released using it when you could achieve far better results much easier using something like unity or unreal 3/4.
because unity is a disease.

§pectre: because unity is a disease.
No unity is more like bacteria, some good like DUSK or Pathfinder: Kingmaker but most people just association it with the bad like 90% of Steam shovelware or anything made by Digital Homicide.
