OK... if you only had the money to spare for one of them, would you get Caves of Qud or UnReal World?
I'm aware that both are also available for free (but Caves of Qud only has a free Windows version, not Linux, and it's not very recent).

They both cost the same give or take 3 euros. Let's just imagine they're priced exactly the same. Well, I want both of them.

Then I will play my backlog games till Steam sale arrives with both games on 50% discount.
And I will buy both of them !!!

OR

Since playing my backlog games on steam would drop trading cards.
So, I will sell them in community market and get some balance in my steam wallet.
And I will buy both games!!!

I will get them via trade!!!

But seriously, I just want opinions on both games, from people that've, you know, played them both.

Never played UnReal World but I did play Caves (quite a while ago) and it's fun. I never got very far though.. it seems on the tough side even for a rogue like (and it turned out I didn't like it's Sci Fi / Post apocalyptic setting enough to really stick with it)

But seriously if you would play your backlog games you can get trading cards.
Or use IdleMaster. People have made 400$ to 800$ yearly JUST BY SELLING TRADING CARDS!!!

I have played neither. Haven't really gotten into old-school roguelikes. But ask yourself: Do you feel like playing a game with ASCII art or with simplistic tiles?

I don't mind either. I've actually played UnReal World some, and I like it. I haven't played Caves of Qud but from what I read, I am going to like it too.

Well I suppose better than my advice - flip a coin to buy one, get the freeware version of the other (as it sounds like both had free distributions).
