Very sad news and sadder way to die alone.A dear old friend of mine died in a garage where he lived alone.It was two weeks before the grim discoverer was detected by the owner of premises and Police.Seeing this story has reminded me of that fateful day.R.I.P.

Yes, this was very recent. I believe the date you mention is his "separation" date from GOG.

Rest in peace. It's just so wrong somehow. This accompanying idea of a 'digital' death in a world of avatars, profiles and the occasional thread with a user's old posts feels incredibly alien.

This is most certainly bad form, but my first thought reading the title was "oh, so he's fish bait now?"
