That's very sad news.

R.I.P. Fishbaits.
RIP.
RIP. I can feel him, but I can't remember him...
Sad news.
Rest in Peace Fishbaits.
fishbaits was one of the best community members to have graced the Gog forums. It will be sad to not see him around here anymore.

RIP fishbaits. You will be missed.

Welcome back, crew. Haven't seen you around these parts lately.
It is sad to see he has passed, a gamer is never really alone as long as his pc and internet connection works, we as gamers all know that to be alone is sad and to pass alone is worse,, may his soul watch over the places he loved and be never truly never forgotten for his games and forums he graced gave him friends who will never forget him...

RIP Fishbaits, and condolences to this family from us all who knew him by his posts and tells and emails...

Slight update.

His funeral will be held next Tuesday (20th March). Hopefully I will be attending with some mutual friends - possibly quite a few in fact.

As a sidenote for anybody interested, the charity he volunteered for was https://www.scope.org.uk/ - perhaps consider it (or a similar more localised charity to yourself) next time you're wanting to do something good in the world. Fishbaits was a big supporter of disabled rights (especially considering the current state of affairs in the UK with it right now), so I'm sure its a sentiment he'd appreciate should any of you feel like you want to do something.

I had intended to see about getting some streamers to do some streams on behalf of the organisation, but as yet my attempts at contact have remained unanswered. However, I have also yet to speak to the staff of the shop in regards to it (ie the charity organisation side of things).

Another update on things.

Been busy with some other stuff. Never did manage to get any kind of charity stream together, however, Fishbaits will be appearing as an NPC in a coming update of Lost Alpha (standalone S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mod - was almost an official release). I still need to finish the bio etc before I send it off, but as he was a huge fan of the games (and also enjoyed the mod) I figured its something at least.

On this note, I have a request: if any of you can remember any posts or conversations you had with him regarding the game(s), if you can look back and maybe glean any info regarding his faction preferences and the likes (even areas he liked best) in game. I've tried going back through our Twitter messages etc, but theres simply too many (also Twitter is shit for searching your messages).

If its just a forum post, then I suppose you can link here, if its a private message, well, be respectful of that fact and only post whats relevant / should be shared.

Inabit!
This is great news! Unfortunately, we never got this detailed in our conversations but hopefully those that have read this and can offer some insight.
I didn`t know the guy, never heard of him until today, but this kind of thing always reminds me that we are dealing with real people over the internet and reality is never far away from our door.

I knew him not, yet I am deeply saddened to see him gone.
