The mode lets players carry over character progress into a higher level difficulty, with the New Game Plus also adding four new weapons, a new outfit, and new enemy variants. Wouldn't be surprising if the "Falcon" automat's design was at least in part inspired by Return to Castle Wolfenstein's Loper.
Their behaviour as well, as erratic and overly aggressive it is.
