Everything that's good in 2D sidescrolling action.

Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cut, a master class in metroidvania-style platforming, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with s 60% discount on the Weekend Promo: #StreamTeam Selection

Have you played the original Shantae? It's only one of the most amazing (and surprisingly rare) Gameboy Color classics ever released. Now, the scantily clad belly dancing heroine and her scantily clad pirate nemesis are back - and somehow, better than ever before. Originally an episodic DSiWare title, the Director's Cut release brings the metroidvania platforming wonder to PC, in all its beautiful glory. Adorable pixel art and beautiful animations make the title a sight to behold. But looks aren't everything, and Shantae is the prime example. Thankfully, gameplay is top notch as well. The title has been praised for it's incredibly tight controls, and a creative shapeshifting system that adds metroidvania-style elements into the game's open world.

Simply put Shantae: Risky's Revenge - Director's Cutis a top-notch platformer that does everything right. It's now available DRM-free on GOG.com on the Weekend Promo: #StreamTeam Selection
Been waiting for this to show up, instabought. Now for the Neon.
This seems to bode well. I hope Half-Genie Hero will also make it here once it's done. I've actually refused to back the thing on Kickstarter due to there being "no plans" for a DRM-free release on the likes of GOG...
Either way - this has brightened up my day :3.
Got it and finished it on Steam. While an apparently decent platformer, some tings annoyed me to no end (unclear maps/goals, repetitive, etc...).

A decent game but not for everyone...
Uhm, what? 2.4 Ghz Processor and 1 GB ram minimum? Wait.... I`ve played games with such graphics on my 60 Mhz 486 with 32 MB ram and a 2 MB graphics card!!!
low rated
I already have Shantae on Steam so i'll pass. :D

I'm interested in the game, but can't buy it at the moment for two reasons:

1. No native Linux version

2. WINE has a bug that causes serious graphical glitches in this game.

Until one of these issues is fixed, I can't play the game and therefore will not buy it.

I am thinking of getting Freedom Planet from the sale which actually has a native Linux version (and should therefore be playable on my system).

Instabought this game.
This game looks interesting! Does it work with an Xbox 360 controller?

Do you know how long the game lasts? I've read in some reviews that the PC version only lasts a couple of hours.

I voted for them all (except for the last entry, you should obviously know why). Hopefully I should be able to see DuckTales here.
