Have you played the original Shantae? It's only one of the most amazing (and surprisingly rare) Gameboy Color classics ever released. Now, the scantily clad belly dancing heroine and her scantily clad pirate nemesis are back - and somehow, better than ever before. Originally an episodic DSiWare title, the Director's Cut release brings the metroidvania platforming wonder to PC, in all its beautiful glory. Adorable pixel art and beautiful animations make the title a sight to behold. But looks aren't everything, and Shantae is the prime example. Thankfully, gameplay is top notch as well. Great. This gets released on GOG, a.k.a. not Steam.

Will the next be released on not Steam? We're left to wonder. Anyways, its a good thing the Steam version is rarely updated and is mostly DRM-free, and I own it so... should I not buy it again here?

Oh, do tell me when you buy it here. If the GOG version has one edge over the Steam version, I'll probably consider it again. If not then I better stick with my zipped Steam version of it that is sitting on my Steam-less laptop.

Very, very good!
Despite never being able to play the entire series (because I either didn't own the right console or because... well... Valve) I absolutely loved the first game on the Game Boy Color, so much in fact that I backed WayForward's kickstarter project.
Speaking of which, and shamelessly talking in my own interest... GOG, is there any chnace you could release a DRM-free build of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero here, maybe coming with a backer key? All the pantheon knows how glad I would be to avoid the other famous store.

Just in case, here's the wishlist entry. Vote now, mortals, if you value your peaceful lives.

I can only buy this in good conscience if we get Double Dragon Neon here.

The rest of the series would be nice too, but Double Dragon Neon please.
