I Never gave a shit until GOG labeled this game 18+. "Fanservice" does NOT mean 18+. Neither steam nor the site list it as 18+.
My issue with this is the misinformation that's presented here by GOG and the lack of fair treatment between releases.

I already drew it out in crayon for GOG, and others who aren't educated on the game, and what the ratings board for all of Europe thinks about this game compared to something like Cyberpunk 2077. One has the ADULTS ONLY rating and the other doesn't. One is 18+ and the other is 16+.

The ESRB and PEGI says one thing, but GOG has their own opinion. Which one do you think is right? ESRB and PEGI, along with everyone who's played the game, or GOG?

And the reason why the PC version has no ESRB rating is because PC games aren't required to receive a rating before they can be sold. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo all require games be rated by the relevant ratings board to be sold on their platform. That isn't something that is needed on PC, and places like Steam don't require such a thing. That's not preventing anyone from getting a rating if they wanted, but it does cost money and it's not necessary, and why it's seen as completely pointless to get a rating for a PC version of a game.

The mentioning of screenshots by the Staff member is just funny also.

Uh oh, we go two pictures of Anime characters with cleavage showing, and one who even has her underwear partly showing under a skirt... Oh the horror! Protect the children with an 18+ Adult Content warning gate, the same one that hentai and other pornographic titles receive.

Meanwhile we got Cyberpunk screenshots where we got a character with cleavage showing also, and multiple instances of intense violence depicted, right before gruesome murders are about to happen. Eh, no big deal if I have a gun up against someone's head about to blow their brains out... 17+ warning age gate. Seems legit!

All I want is fair treatment for all releases and for GOG to stop spreading misinformation. You don't think there is something wrong with GOG when they think their content warning is correct, when you have the American ratings board and the ratings board that covers all of Europe saying differently?

If the 18+ age gate isn't a big deal, then GOG should lock CD Projekts games behind it also, because those have literally received the ADULT ONLY rating by Europe's, PEGI.

This is also an instance where I think the GOG Staff member should have just kept thier mouth shut. Not to mention they came off as argumentative, and somewhat hostile.

The whole reason for their position was dumb, and was basically like "we feel our opinion is correct", despite both the American and European ratings boards, and all the people who've played teh game saying "No, GOG you're wrong".

Then the person's reply of "Unless I missed such a release, I don't think we're using 17+ warning for other games that also depict damage by the deterioration of young looking girls' outfits. In any case, that's the furthest I'm gonna delve into this subject." immediately got shut down with an example of another game... Like, get a clue. Don't open your mouth if you don't know what you're talking about.

None of it surprises me though. GOG has been all about the woke virtue signaling for a while now. I fully believe from this Staff members comments and the way they do things here, that GOG would rather not sell these games here at all, but they're not in a position where they can really pick or choose. I mean, there's only so many people knocking on the door looking to release software on GOG.

I'd think that alienating the fanbase for those games, and possibly the studios themsevles isn't exactly good business, but again, this is the same store that can't even manage 10% of the total PC sales for it's own damn game in Cyberpunk. How does it feel GOG to basically be a slave to Steam? Steam is more important for your success than your own damn store. CD Projekt's games on PC would flop if not for Steam. Thronebreaker ring a bell? Game flopped hard when they tried to make it exclusive to GOG.

I really wonder why I even bothered buying here in the first place. I guess the idea of DRM-free was appealing, but it was a mistake, and that feeling gets reinforced all too often here just like today after seeing this staff member posting.

Most of the games released here either don't interest me, are bad, or they're very old releases that I've likely already had for years on other stores. You know what I did after I bought Shinovi Versus here? Nothing at all. See the attached image. I actually went and fired up Estival Versus which always seems to be installed on my system for that Senran Kagura fix.

I'm not going to double dip for some woke store that isn't even capable of giving fair unbiased treatment to the small number of games that release here. There's a fanbase that is attached to the games themselves and when you treat the game unfairly you're also doing the same to the people themselves. It's disgusting.

It's not very "woke" of you, GOG, to show intolerance and unfair treatment towards certain games and by extention the fanbase for those games.

You won't be getting any of my money anymore, and you can look my order history and see that I spend a good amount here. Rather take my business elsewhere.

I agree. It is really incredible how people here are making a mountain out of a dust speck. Wall of texts full of nonsense for the "problem" here. It is ridiculous.
I just went through the chatbot support, verified ownership of my account, and am in the process of having it deleting.

GOG Staff you should be able to see this support ticket being active. I've thought about doing it this before, and I feel like this was the final straw for me. I want to wash my hands of you and your service, and you will not receive my business ever again.

I don't want to get into a big rant again, but the new releases have gotten worse and worse these past years, and the times I do find something I would like to buy it's usually old and I've already bought it elsewhere. I won't double-dip on games to help support you anymore when you act this way.

I hope that my posts will show as deleted user or something when this process is done. I'm done.

TomNuke: long text
Yikes, so many burns, harsher than me. I personally will still double dip if only to support the game companies. Also, to the GOG supporters like XYCat, how about you make your game list public before getting into such discussions.

Is TomNuke the troll you were talking about? If so I will note that I was the one who started this conversation.
