Fesin: Like with Risen 1, I advise everyone to install the unofficial Mod Starter. While there aren't that many mods, some are essential, like AntiWarp - do NOT play Risen 2 without AntiWarp.

JudasIscariot: Silly question but why is playing without AntiWarp so bad?
Yeah Risen had the same problem with LOD and texture rendering pretty much near you. There is also a mod that fixes that stuff

Fesin: Because otherwise the vegetation morphs very weirdly in scale when you get closer - it almost looks like they're alive. I think they adressed this issue in a patch, but it's still there, while AntiWarp more or less completely removes it .

This video should illustrate the problem.
Wow, that looked freaky. I kept expecting something to say "Feed me Seymour!" :D

Thanks for the demonstration :)
Aaaaand bought. Like the premise and can always do with more high-quality RPGs on my GOG shelf. Great release day all around!
Instabuy! I must bathe in the essence of thousands of action-RPGs!
Sa•weet! I was expecting some kind of special offer with both games bundled together. But I was always only interested in Risen 2 anyway. So, I’ll probably pick it up now.

Has anyone tried the game through wine on Linux already?
Holly hell that was creepy O_O
I'm happy the mod was mentioned, otherwise I surely would have cried in pain for spendig money on something as "broken" as this when I play for the first time ._.
Great release! I'm happy I didn't succeed in buying the missing DLCs for the Steam version. I got the Steam base game from some Humble Bundle I think. without DLCs of course (their old baiting tactic: get the base game cheap, and pay by your balls for the missing DLCs).

So GOG has now three Risen 2 entries:

1. Risen 2: Dark Waters $7.99
2. DLC: Risen 2: Dark Waters Gold Edition Upgrade $14.99
3. Risen 2: Dark Waters Gold Edition $11.99

So do I presume right that 1 + 2 = 3, ie. if I want it all, only 3 needs to be bought?
Yahoo ! It will be mine ! :)

Yes. I bought 3. (gold edition) and now all 3 "Risen 2" titles in the catalogue are marked as owned :)
The shape-shifting foliage is quite nifty, and really should be used to deliberate effect. Perhaps a FPS game that toys with your perception of reality?
Oh it's a shame i have it on steam with the DLC's. I guess i'll buy it eventually, just to get it DRM free, but not for 12 bucks.

Or maybe a video game called Day Of The Triffids 2: The Rest Of The Plant Kingdom Awakes.

Or are plants on our side now, since the zombie outbreak in the gaming world?

Cheers! Game bought, along with Pegasus Prime. :) Two great releases in one day, I must admit.
Excellent release, I have been really enjoying the first one, will definitely have to pick this one up somewhere down the line.
Nice, already have the game in Steam, but like I already did with Risen 1, I'm rebuying it here too

And hope this represents we will receive Risen 3 in GOG too in the future
