Montezuma is an anglicism (call it deformation if you like) from an already spanish deformation or corruption from the original Náhuatl name "Motecuhzoma".

In spanish history books I always did read Moctezuma, in Anglosaxon history books and videogames and movies, probably Montezuma has been used, and in a proper Náhuatl grammar probably the name will be spelled Motecuhzoma if using latin characters.

Similar things happened in the old greek versions of Egyptian old Pharaoh and gods´ names "Anubis/Inpu" "Ra/Re" "Kheops/Khufu" "Amenofis/Amenhotep"...

Not the same case, since it was done by people that are not of my culture. You don't see me calling your country Estaña".

And that is whithout counting how moronic it is to confuse a C with an N; stop being clowns and distorting other people's cultures.

Swedrami: Montezuma's Revenge - The 40th Anniversary Edition

The 1983 classic side-scrolling platformer Montezuma’s Revenge returns in 2.5D glory
Totally unnecessary.

Got me thinking of the 3D version that came out in 1997: "Montezuma's Return".

When will devs learn, that stuff doesn't get better, by putting it in 3D (or in this case: 2.5 D).
