Immediate procurement through monetary means.

Montezuma's Return next, please.
Played this when it first came out. Makes me think it was a prelude to Prince of Persia.

GOG.com: Release: Montezuma's Revenge
I loved this on the C64. For me, still one of the best games for that system.
But - I bought this remake as soon as it got released on Steam.
And because of that, I will wait for a lower price first, before I re-purchase it here.
Wishlisted until then.
The "modern" graphics of the interactive objects clashes so much with the background tiles.
They're so cheaply made and ugly..

Great to see this here, played this a lot on my old Apple II. Also have the Master system version, oh ya don't have it for my Atari XE. Well anyway I'll pick this up a little later but probably keep it on the classic graphics as they just look more appealing.
ok, but how about Montezuma's return, the insane 3D game? :D

Yes, it's not very impressive how they've solved the graphic upgrade, I find the original graphic style more pleasing.

Oh, I remember playing that.

[quick check] I even have it on disc, but - as far as I remember, it wouldn't run, the last time I tried to start it.
Some file (.dll) missing, I think..?
Maybe a Win10/64 bit related issue?

Why is the 50% off sale price still higher than the game is normally on Steam? On Steam it's $2.99 without a sale

I'm not usually one of the naysayers, but this was not the 'Zuma game I was waiting for...
Man, I remember playing this on my C64 many years ago
great game, I hope this remake is good too
So, being an old-school platformer, just how pull-your-hair-out smash-the-keyboard wake-the-neighbours difficult is it?

The only controls are directional keys and a jump button. Jumping is fixed height/distance and you can't change direction mid-air like some other platformers. Your character will die if falling from just about any greater height than they can jump from. There's ladders, slides, locked doors, and assorted traps and enemies. But, you can save anywhere, anytime, there's basically unlimited continues as is (your score resets when you run out of lives), if you're killed by an enemy then the enemy is removed from the room, and the game auto-saves at the entrance to every room you enter. Most of the 'frustration' will be in timing jumps and judging distances so you don't die on landing. This is nowhere near as unforgiving as, say, Jump King, which I've seen a good number of streamers smash their controllers and keyboards apart while playing in one of those 'gamer rage compilation' videos.
