Outrunning oppression.

Mirror's Edge™, the energetic free-running action game with the striking visual design, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 50% launch discount.

The gleaming, utopian appearance of the city cannot fool Faith. She's seen how things are run around here, with everyday activity being monitored closely and sensitive pieces of information constantly changing hands high above the oblivious citizens. Now her sister is being framed for a crime she didn't commit and Faith must employ every bit of her resourcefulness and parkour talents to run the rooftops, avoid the authorities, and expose the truth.
The revolutionary first-person running mechanics and intense hand-to-hand combat make Mirror's Edge™ into a spectacular action romp, boosted by its pristine aesthetics and unmatched sense of flow. Leap, climb, race, and slide across the dangerous cityscape, always staying mindful of your surroundings and occasionally being ready to flee rather than fight, when the situation grows desperate.

Navigate Faith through high-speed chases atop the city's skyscrapers and discover what's hiding behind the Mirror's Edge™, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 50% discount will last until September 29, 12:59 PM UTC.

jalister: Full price for this game on GOG and Origin is $19.99. I'm not sure why there are so many complaints. Maybe the sale price isn't as good, but this is technically a new release here. Maybe wait until the end of year sale for a better sale price.
Might be the price for you. For me the price on Steam is just €9.99 (without a discount) and €4.99 at Origin (not sure if it is discounted there). So the regular GOG price (€18,19) is very high and even the discounted price is just the normal one on Steam (and twice as high as on Origin).
We really need confirmation on the Pure Time Trials DLC being in the game or not. One would expect entities trying to have us buy (or re-buy) the game would address this.

Pure Time Trial Map Pack DLC was origin exclusive (as Judas told me).
But I found this Pure Time Trial Map Pack mod but don't know if it will work on GOG version.

Leroux: Why does the German Origin page say 4.99 EUR then? And Steam says 9.99 EUR, regular price over here. Games being cheaper in Germany than the US, that's new ...

So what prices are displayed for you here and here? Are they all the same in the US?

Btw, I'm not nagging because I want to buy the games, I'm just pointing out the differences across stores (and/or countries that don't usually have different prices). The other stores have sales, too, so e.g. The Saboteur can be bought for 2,50 EUR when it's on sale at Origin.
Store PriceCut Current Lowest Regular
Origin PC w -0% $19.99 $19.99 $19.99
GamesPlanet FR w -20% $8.98 $3.55 $11.22
GamesPlanet DE w -20% $8.98 $3.55 $11.22
GamesPlanet UK w -30% $9.14 $5.75 $13.06
GOG w -50% $9.99 $9.99 $19.99
Steam w -0% $19.99 $3.99 $19.99
GameStop PC w -0% $19.99 $2.99 $19.99

It does look like it's cheaper across the pond.

I just checked the various stores.
GOG - 19.99
Origin - 19.99
Steam - 19.99
PS3 - 14.99

Bah, kinda annoyed since i bought the DVD version of this not too long ago at about $15. A good but not great game, it suffers too much from the developers channeling you towards a predefined route rather than let you find the best one. Wishlisted for now.
Cool! Wishlisted.

Yeah, here it says 4.99 EUR (Origin), 9.99 EUR (Steam, GamesPlanetFR+DE), 11.62 EUR (GamesPlanetUK), 18.19 EUR (GOG). Weird. In any case, a huge gap in prices.
Does Mirror's Edge work with an Xbox 360 controller?

Yes, it should!
I already have it on 360. Is it worth getting again?

You should be the judge of that. If you feel like playing it again, get it.

Yes, I just played the first 2 chapters with a (wired) X360 joypad, no problems at all ;)
I don't like complaining about pricing but this one seems ridiculous tbh. I've seen this game many times on sale for 2 or 3$, so a 20$ base price seems like EA saying "we're ok with DRM-free as long as you're ok with paying a 200% premium". Not sure that's the right message...

Seems like a misunderstanding. Apparantly the games are this expensive across all stores in the US, DRM-free or not (and GOG is using US prices as a base). Which doesn't make this any better, just saying it doesn't seem to be related to DRM. Although as a side effect, you're still better off in Europe if you don't mind DRM, since GOG is the only store that uses the high US prices here.

Yeah, while it's nice to see these games here, I had to chuckle at the pricing. I got both Mirror's Edge and the Saboteur free on Origin at one point. I like DRM-free, but it'll be a cold day in hell before I pay even close to that for a game I already have.
