Just scorching the surface.

Metal Fatigue is now available DRM-free, only on GOG.com.
Advanced, abandoned, fully functional alien technology. That's what was waiting for us in distant stars. We collected, studied, and reassembled it as best we could... and then we used it to destroy each other, RTS-style. Take control of three mega corporations as they clash in fully-3D battlefields, using customizable mechs made from the spare parts the mysterious Hedoth left behind. But remember: the planet's surface is not your only concern, general. Enemies can come from underground or descend from orbit.

RadonGOG: I was only reacting to the last thing you´ve said ("look at the screenshots") and as I´ve pointed out they don´t mean a thing. But thanks anyways. That´s a sad thing...

vadalma2018: Yes, you are right.
Looking at the screenshots doesn't mean anything, because normally, they can and should be other options. But sadly there arent really.

As they wrote here:
https://www.play-old-pc-games.com/2015/12/08/metal-fatigue/

Look at section "Tweaking visual quality"

A quote from there:

"Metal Fatigue does not support widescreen screen modes at all, so you will need to choose the resolution from the list on the left that most closely matches your monitor. 1600×1200 isn’t a great fit for a 1080p panel, for instance, so don’t be surprised if things don’t look so good at that resolution. Don’t be afraid to try one or two options here, you may find that the higher resolutions result in graphics that are too small to see, particularly if you’re gaming on your HDTV rather than at a monitor."
Thanks for that link. DgVoodoo working is a good news anyways, will pick it up later and try out how well it runs in 2400x1800 or even 2880x2160.
Your welcome. Wish you a fun time playing this gem of a game :)
Very nice great success.
I had brought that gem immediately.
It's awesome that in-game music is working.
Unfortunately it seems that there is a little problem with in-game music ( at last in my version ).
I allow myself to classify music files from GoG version and from two very-long-time-ago-not-too-legally-obtained CD's images.
Please, have mercy and stop throwing these stones at me!
Lapidation is outdated form of punishment. I was young and stupid.
I hope i've reedem myself, just look at games in profile, i really do brought it.
OK end of off-topic, i just found something like that:
TrackXX - GOG files, XYZ Incidential/Battle - CD's files.
Track02 - Intro - CD 1
Track03 - Mil-Agro Incidental 1 - CD 2
Track04 - Mil-Agro Incidental 2 - CD 2
Track05 - Mil-Agro Incidental 3 - CD 2
Track06 - Mil-Agro Incidental4 - CD 2
Track07 - Mil-Agro Incidental 5 - CD 2
Track08 - Mil-Agro Battle 1 - CD 2
Track09 - Mil-Agro Battle 2 - CD 2
Track10 - Mil-Agro Battle 3 - CD 2
Track11 - Mil-Agro Battle 4 - CD 2
Track12 - Mil-Agro Battle 5 - CD 2
Track13 - Neuropa Incidental 1 - CD 2
Track14 - Neuropa Incidental 2 - CD 2
Track15 - Neuropa Incidental 3 - CD 2
Track16 - Neuropa Incidental 4 - CD 2
Track17 - Neuropa Incidental 5 - CD 2
Track18 - Neuropa Battle 1 - CD 2
Track19 - Neuropa Battle 2 - CD 2
Track20 - Neuropa Battle 3 - CD 2
Track21 - Neuropa Battle 5 - CD 2
Track22 - IDK, can't find that MP3 file in CD2 but sounds kinda like Neuropa Battle 5 ( if i'd be able to found it ).
Track23 - Also Idk, sound like "none" from CD1 but longer.

Rimtech Incidental 1 to 5 and Rimtech Battle 1 to 5 seems to be missing.
As far as i played and heard, Mil-Agro soundtrack is playing in Rimtech camping.
It just my version broken or what?
Can it be fixed?
I do not point out that in odred to show that "gag suckzz awww bleeh imma return to good "uncle" Gaben".

Mateuszy: i just believe thet my well... information is worth something.
Indeed it is. I'll look into adding combined audio from both CDs... somehow ;)
Hmmm... It wants a "Disk 1" from me if I start a new campaign. Any Ideas?

Also can switch to windowed mode with ALT + ENTER, but moves the window partially of screen :( Any Ideas how I can get my mouse pointer out of the window? :D
Super great game! Guess where my nickname comes from?
AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!

This game is so good. I've been trying to get this thing working for years with no success. Thank you so much GOG, you guys are awesome.

One issue though... started up a skirmsih game and my Save button was greyed out. Anyone else having that problem?

I suggest opening a ticket with support about that, I have the same problem to, the Campaign saves fine though.

The biggest, BIGGEST issue I have with Metal Fatigue is that you cannot save during a skirmish. Yup, that's not a bug - it's a feature. Frustrating especially considering how unstable the game is. It does seem quite a bit more stable than I remember though - as long as I run the game in a window as opposed to full screen.

[EDIT] Vaugely recall the reasoning was because the skirmish mode used the same framework as multiplayer and that saving wasn't allowed in multiplayer for technical reasons.

Finally, thank you for bringing this game back to life. Did a great job of getting it to work on modern systems

Are there any mods for the game to save in Skirmish mode?
I'm having some issues running the game still, getting "insert disk" messages and it's rather annoying.

Is this a solved issue or just something you'll have to deal with until it's fixed?

Not that I'm aware of, unfortunately.
