Impossible is nothing. If not fun!

Impossible Creatures, an outrageous RTS that lets you "mesh" around with animal DNA and build your own mutant army, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get it now with the 40% launch discount.

Noah put two of every animal in the Ark. This was cool at the time, but now along comes Rex Chance, a '30s war correspondent, curious to see what happens when you smush two animals into one. Why? Because DNA fusion is fun, and because he thinks there is great untapped potential in these strange pairings. Unfortunately, so does Upton Julius, the megalomaniac villain who stole the mysterious Sigma technology for himself, and is now threatening to conquer the world with his own army of mutant beasts.

Collect animal DNA, build your own unique units, and defeat Julius and his evil lieutenants in 15 different maps stretching across jungles, deserts and snow-ridden landscapes that make up the mysterious Isla Variatas. Create your own menacing winged scorpion, adorable kangaroo-shark, angry horned bear or any other Impossible Creature you desire - the possible combinations are only limited by your own imagination (or gross-out threshold). Then, go online and test your DNA-fusing skills against other wannabe-mad scientists in three different multiplayer modes.

Play God in this 3D hybrid of strategy and creativity, as your Impossible Creatures march forward, DRM-free on GOG.com. Get them now with a launch discount that will last until next Thursday, December 3rd, 1:59 PM GMT.

JudasIscariot: The game includes three "mods" in the "Mod Selection" menu:

Impossible Creatures (the base game...no I don't know why it's in the "Mod Selection" menu either...)
Insect Invasion
and something called "RockPaperScissors"

:)
Woohooo! Since it was not mentioned on release page, I was a bit afraid that insect invasion is platform that shall not be named exclusive

Thanks guys!
Never heard of this game before, not really my type of game but reminded me I should watch Creature Comforts series again.
Thanks GOG and Nordic.
Wishlisted for now.

I was interested to try this game back then, but I didn't.
It will certainly end on my library!
I remember this game but I never played it. Reading that "the possible combinations are only limited by your own imagination", does it mean that I can keep merging species together until I create a wolf-dolphin-eagle-lizard-spider kind of "thing" or is there some kind of limitation to the design.

Oh, and made by Relic. I guess that means quality guaranteed. Also I see the words "Homeworld", "Dawn of War" & "Company of Heroes" written on the gamecard. I hope they soon have their own gamecard! ;)

Licurg: Apart from Insect Invasion, there was also a patch before it that added 10 more animals, including dolphins and mammoths . See if that's there too .

You can only make creatures out of 2 different animals, not more than that .

Thanks to GOG and Nordic. I was hoping this would make it here sooner rather than later. Bought. Can't wait to give it a go this weekend.

You should add that to the info on the game card. :)

Well, this is apparently a thing. Glad there are some people who apparently know what this is and are pleased about it, though. =)

mechmouse: I asked the misses What we should call and Elephant/Rhino hybrid...

You know what she said?
"You've got to stop drinking so early in the day"?
Wow! Looks pretty cool! What resolutions does it support? Does it have windowed mode?

I've just done 1920*1080. I'll look at window mode

Sorry no windowed mode.

This is a pretty neat coincidence for me, as I just watched SpaceHamster's video on the game last night. Though to be fair, part of why I chose to watch it was that I remembered seeing someone mention the possibility of the game showing up on GOG soon. Anyway, cool release!
