Power overwhelming.

Eradicator, a cult shooter where you venture into a hostile fortress that holds galaxy's most precious element, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount.

Let's face it, building a sprawling citadel on a mysterious alien planet wasn't a very good idea to begin with. But somebody decided it was worth taking the risk as Ioxia is the only planet able to provide mankind with the valuable element Mazrium. Now the mysterious forces that were lying dormant at its core for all these years have awoken and all hell breaks loose. The situation calls for gun-blazing action. For explosive bravado. For an Eradicator.

You choose between Dan, Eleena, and lizardman Kamchak, grab as many weapons as you can carry, and enter the fortress to face the ugly hordes that have been unleashed. The gameplay will vary depending on the character you pick but one thing is for sure: you'll get to kick plenty of spiky alien buttocks. And when you need a breather, you can get down to solving the tantalizing puzzles found within the 25 levels of the vast citadel. The ability to toggle between 1st-person and 3rd-person view is bound to come in handy here.

Get geared up and blast the citadel clean of alien rabble as the Eradicator, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 50% discount will last until March 1st, 1:59 PM GMT.

MaxFulvus: I never heard of this too, but it's good to see another FPS here.
I found a little gameplay video, hope it will be useful for someone :

OH MY GOODNESS! Listen to that title screen music(starts around 1 minute into the video).
Nice, never enough of FPP shooters on GOG, with different characters to choose and lenghty camapaign of 25 levels I'm on the verge of getting it. Art style reminds me spirit of Build/Jedi engine. ;-P

Crosmando: Never heard of this, does it use the Build engine or something?
I also immediately thought it was using Build, but apparently it's a completely different engine, specifically written for the game.
I remember playing a demo of this back in the day. Back then I was under the impression this was built on Build, but have since read around that it isn't.

I don't remember how it plays at all, though. Maybe I'll get this on the future. :)
Ah... good old times. First forced to restart right at the beginning since stuck at the corner of a cave entrance and 4 minutes later a CTD when hitting/smashing some cube thingy.

But its a pleasant surprise the setup with mouselook (AND aim) & WASD movement like in modern action games is possible here.
Another 8 bits indie platform game, i thought gog was GOOD OLD GAMES!!!1!

That does not make any sense. Not for a game that looks like it looks and had a 96 release. Also Accolade = not a hipster Indi nickname.

edit:
10 minutes ago me didn't get it, lol. Idiot.

I guess the "1" wasn't enough...

... actually it is. I'm just not at the peak of my health and my internet cynicism detector kind of sucks right now. Sorry :/
So is this a DOS version or WIndows version? Does it play like Doom?

Dosbox. It looks a bit like Doom (common game era) but already has modern options (movement, mouselook/aim) and AFAIR you could not jump in old Doom either.

Interesting! So does it have MIDI or CD music?
Yes... YES !!!

Grargar: Oh, a Retroism game. Been a while.

hyperagathon: At least one of us isn't surprised :) If I remember correctly, you played this recently - how was the performance? After trying Blood a few weeks ago, I'm wary of DOSBox performance for late era DOS games.
Kinda off topic, but the XL Engine (which kind of serves as a sourceport for Blood, Daggerfall & Dark Forces) has resumed active development after several years of abandonment and will supposedly release soon. Should make playing Blood on modern systems a lot more pleasant if it does everything it sets out to do.

A classic FPS that I've never even heard of? Looks nice, too.

Reminds me more of Build engine games than Doom, but seems like it has an original engine.
