Power overwhelming.

Eradicator, a cult shooter where you venture into a hostile fortress that holds galaxy's most precious element, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 50% launch discount.

Let's face it, building a sprawling citadel on a mysterious alien planet wasn't a very good idea to begin with. But somebody decided it was worth taking the risk as Ioxia is the only planet able to provide mankind with the valuable element Mazrium. Now the mysterious forces that were lying dormant at its core for all these years have awoken and all hell breaks loose. The situation calls for gun-blazing action. For explosive bravado. For an Eradicator.

You choose between Dan, Eleena, and lizardman Kamchak, grab as many weapons as you can carry, and enter the fortress to face the ugly hordes that have been unleashed. The gameplay will vary depending on the character you pick but one thing is for sure: you'll get to kick plenty of spiky alien buttocks. And when you need a breather, you can get down to solving the tantalizing puzzles found within the 25 levels of the vast citadel. The ability to toggle between 1st-person and 3rd-person view is bound to come in handy here.

Get geared up and blast the citadel clean of alien rabble as the Eradicator, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 50% discount will last until March 1st, 1:59 PM GMT.
How...how was I unaware of this game? o_O

And it even comes with a manual! ;-)

On a more serious note - agreed, also not my thing, but it should make quite a few peeps happy.
Yay, I'm sold :D
Awesome! I remember this game from way way back in 1996 when my friend got it for PC. My 486/33 was too slow to run it but I used to watch him play. And kudos to GOG for making it run on Linux as well.

blotunga: Meh another shooter.
Sorry it's not the 9 millionth RTS game, because we definitely don't have enough of those on GOG.
Nice, I will definitely pick this up later. Have it on Steam from Groupees.
Amongst the muddy stream of indie retroish platformers and other dubious games I almost forgot how the Good Old Ones look like... C'mon, GOG, don't turn into Steam-2, just remember your mission! Keep it up!

Well, I prefer old RTS games to old FPSs. FPSs for me are all the same game with different skins...

What a coincidence. That's how I feel about RTS.
Nice, an old FPS that was off my radar. Been wanting something basic after all the intricate games I've been playing lately, so this will suit just fine. Like the idea of different characters to control, too.

I know I'm in the minority here, but any chance of ZPC showing up one day?

Ha! That was my first association as well upon seeing this game appear. :D
Oh yes! I love Retroism and Night Dive. They keep bringing us all sorts of great games. I will continue to grab these up. :)

First time I heard of this game.

ZPC is more notable for its artwork and storyline than gameplay, though it does have some interesting aspects there too. It was something of an underground hit back when it first came out, so I'm not surprised you didn't know of it. I do still have my CD copy of the game.
OMG, I remember this game! It was like a mix of Cybermage, Cyclone (SSI, 1994) and some little Black Stone.

In this case even that will not persuade me to buy it. :-D

FPSes is sth I just can't take to. Tried few times...but it is sooooo boring...I have purchased a few classics (like Wolfenstein or Duke) but that's it.

Still this release is a good sign because Retrosim has some more interesting to me at least games and I hope GOG will release them eventually.
